The ProMedica Nurse Residency Program is available to newly graduated nurses with
Residency is offered at all of the ProMedica Hospitals.
Departments and hospital locations are subject to change and depend on availability of current openings. The openings will be discussed during your phone interview.
The Residency Program timeline is 10-24 weeks depending on your progress and the acuity of the area you are hired into. After the residency is completed, there is an 12 month commitment to your position in the Unit of hire.

You will need to be fully (NCLEX passed) licensed in the state where you are hired, before starting the program.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes, and exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to attain all health requirements as identified by the organization (i.e., PPD, respirator training, vaccines, as appropriate).
- Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing. **
- Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry light to heavy patients or equipment. **
- Must be able to lift medium materials, non-material handling; continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting.

Deadline for Licensing is 4 months from graduation
With the high concentration of learning involved with the RN Residency Program, taking time off during the first 90 day is strongly discouraged and in most cases time off will not be granted. Missing clinical time in the residency will delay assimilation and competency achievement.
A new employee may submit requests for accrued earned time off and/or sick time begin using his or her accrued ETO and sick time after completing 90 calendar days of employment. ETO is scheduled based upon departmental staffing needs and must be requested and approved by the immediate supervisor in advance, according to departmental policy and practice

POSITION SUMMARY
The supervisor is a registered nurse responsible for the operation of the clinical activities of the Center for Wound Care and facilitating best nursing practices in all ProMedica Wound care facilities. Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the day to day operation of the clinical areas of the wound care. In conjunction with the Office Manager and Medical Director, the supervisor will plan, organize, and manage personnel and resources in order to provide the highest quality wound care in the most cost-effective and productive manner. The supervisor is responsible for standardizing nursing care throughout the systems ambulatory wound care sites. Requires skills in organization, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating and providing care of adult and geriatric clients.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Education: Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills: Must have ability to effectively manage multiple patient care and department tasks.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years direct wound care.
License: RN License
Certification: Must maintain CPR certification.

Position Summary :
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care provided to a group of patients. This nurse leads the nursing team members in the care as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other health care providers in accordance with the philosophy and policies of ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals. Actively participates in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician and employee satisfaction. Ensures decisions made are based on patient and family centered care philosophy utilizing evidenced based practices, and focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
Scope of Service: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies.

POSITION SUMMARY Perform cardiac imaging and other non-invasive cardiology procedures as performed by the Metro department where assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs cardiac sonographic imaging and all necessary functions required to complete the procedure for interpretation.
Interacts with cardiologist and physicians as necessary for completion of the procedure.
Performs cardiac stress testing on patients with complete knowledge of different stress protocols and the computerized capabilities of the equipment used to perform the test.
Performs holter monitors and event monitors
Performs outpatient EKGs.
Takes call for echoes and TEEs after hours (as needed for inpatient facilities).
Serves as a resource for other technologists, students, and hospital staff
Accepts shifts where assigned within the Metro Region.
Performs other duties as directed.

Education: Associate degree in cardiovascular technology with a focus in cardiac imaging and/or 5 years' experience in the field of echocardiology.
Skills: Must be able to cope with stressful situations and handle deadlines in a demanding, fast paced medical environment. Must be competent in use of facility communication systems and equipment (e.g. phones, fax machines, etc.) Must be able to input and retrieve information from radiological or other medical equipment and computerized systems. Specialized with: Traction set-up, Trapeze, set-up, Continuous Passive Motion Machines, and External Fixation Devices
Generations 7 acute care will offer a wide variety of experiences, as they receive patients with a wide range of diagnoses.

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs routine and special blood specimen collection for all age specific patients.
ACCOUNTABILITIES - All Essential to the Role
Collects products or specimens for basic procedures and may perform point-of-care testing using proper techniques.
Follows strict principles of asepsis and antisepsis. Assists in the care of the patient prior to, during and after specimen collection.
Determines, from like samples, combinations of tests and the associated acceptable minimum volumes. Knowledgeable of pre-analytic variables, which may affect specimen analysis. Familiar with test synonyms and abbreviations, and cross-referencing tests to specimen types.
Utilizes laboratory computer information system to include all work aides and shortcuts within the system. Utilizes quality assurance data to enhance the services rendered by the section. Recommends changes in procedures to address quality issues and provide customer/patient satisfaction.
Performs and documents quality control procedures.
Acts as a resource and is a liaison between phlebotomy staff and Laboratory /Point of Care Team.
Cross trained in defined core job functions and patient care departments.
Routinely perform difficult specimen collections, such as re-draws and misses.
Assists in the training of new associates or students.
As needed, performs all pre-analytic tasks associated with sample preparation including, but not limited to, centrifugation, decanting, and specimen packaging.
Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. Complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies by attending mandatory in-services and continuing laboratory education and participating in continuous quality improvement. Maintains and upgrades personal professional development.
Maintains appropriate par levels and organizes supplies and equipment in work areas as assigned. Notifies appropriate associate when re-order levels are reached, and equipment needs to be repaired.
Maintains protocols and procedures for excellent patient care and follows guidelines for infection control management.
Demonstrates good teamwork. Willingly accepts adjustments to assignments and adapts willingly to changes in workflow and processes. Provides excellent customer service incorporating ProMedica's core values.
Performs other duties as directed or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent.
License/Certification/Experience:
A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR one year phlebotomy experience.
Successful completion of an academic program which included substantial practical clinical phlebotomy experience (i.e.: 3+ week clinical student rotation program in a hospital setting).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional registration preferred [i.e., PBT(ASCP)]
1 year experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment

Position Summary
Our Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Great customer service and a friendly can-do attitude will ensure your success. Our techs are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Toledo Hospital campus within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and a positive patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, as well as other common areas of their job assignment such as rest rooms, nurses' stations, corridors, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms. Other assigned areas may include surgery OR's, labor and delivery, emergency department and other procedural areas. Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements as well as proper and safe chemical use. Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety. Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics. Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies and equipment evidence by properly stocking and restocking environmental services cart in a neat and orderly fashion. Removes trash and other waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling. Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE). Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).
Practices critical thinking skills. Demonstrates personal accountability and shows appropriate respect to co-workers, patients and visitors. Identifies and utilizes appropriate resources to ensure problems or concerns are followed through and resolved. Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety requirements. Demonstrates the ability to operate and properly maintain all EVS tools and equipment needed to clean and disinfect the environment. Demonstrates flexibility with regards to daily work assignment and assigned tasks. May be asked to assist with on-boarding and peer-training of new Environmental Technicians. Requires attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal directions and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to move about the hospital and between workstations. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to operate and utilize pagers, vacuums, putty knives, carts and trash mobiles. Ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids; must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and chemicals. Ability to constantly move, lift or carry light to medium weight equipment furniture, etc. and occasionally move or lift heavy equipment or furniture. Must be able to wear N95 or PAPR hood. Stoop bend, reach, stretch, push and pull. Must be able to move and/or lift material and damp mops or towels weighing up to 10 lbs., 70% of the time; move carts weighing up to 40 lbs., 10% of the time; and move carts weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time. Education/Certifications/Licenses
High School Diploma desired/preferred. Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and/or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) desired/preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
Primary function is to provide for and facilitate the patient care process. Is directly responsible for the actions of field operations staff on their assigned shifts and have discretionary authority over personnel to ensure PTN policies and procedures are adhered to. Functions as lead Field Training Officer for all field personnel.

Referral of vehicle maintenance problems to Fleet manager.
Monitor compliance of field personnel with medical reporting.
Provide on line medical consultation and treatment direction to field staff.
Fill field staff duties as necessary.
Participates in the interview, hiring and orientation process with new and prospective employees.
Directs new employees through completion of employee orientation.

The Paramedic/PTN functions on an ambulance performing prehospital emergency responses and interfacility transports normally as the senior member of a two person care team. When paired with a EMT-B, the Paramedic would be responsible to direct the care of the patient and delegate as appropriate for the scope of practice. The two person care team is responsible to assess and apply appropriate medical treatment protocols to care for the patient. The Paramedic directly reports to the Operations Manger which handles non-clinical job performance items. The Paramedic provides patient care under the authority of the Medical Director and reports to the Clinical Manager for clinical care issues.
Operates and maintains PTN vehicles in a safe and ready condition. Provides safe, quality care to ill or injured patients in prehospital or intrahospital setting. Will be primarily responsible in field situations if holding senior medic status. When performing SCT, will act under the direction of the Transport Nurse during care and transport of interhospital patients.
