The primary role of the Staff Accounting Assistant is to ensure the accurate and timely posting of customer payments and deposit of funds for Georgia Power's mailed-in payments, and for multi-account customers served by Alabama, Georgia, and Southern Company's Summary Billing process. The successful candidate will work with a team of staff accounting assistants to sort, scan and process check and electronic payments, provide support to customer and operating company personnel on payment related research and issue resolution. The role will provide an array of support functions ranging from equipment operation to data entry to research and customer interaction.

Job R esponsibilities:
Processing incoming payment transactions to accurately post to customers' accounts
Ensure balancing of deposits with daily posting files
Perform research to ensure timely resolution of payment issues
Monitor and complete exception items
Work with customers and operating company personnel to recommend/provide the best payment channel solution to meet the customer's needs
Experience and Education:
High School diploma or GED required (additional educational experience is a plus)
Experience in a payment acceptance/processing environment (experience with OPEX equipment and Mavro, BankTec, Wausau, or other payment processing software is a plus)

Southern Nuclear Operating Company's Plant Vogtle 3&4 Site Engineering organization is seeking a high performing Cyber Security Engineer/Analyst with an analytical mindset and strong technical and leadership skills to support commissioning and operation of the next generation nuclear power station. This position will be located at Southern Nuclear Company's Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, Georgia
Job Summary
This position is assigned to the Cyber Security organization at the Vogtle 3&4 site. This position will provide technical leadership, execution, guidance, and monitoring of the Vogtle 3&4 Cyber Security Program. The Cyber Security Engineer/Analyst will also be tasked with maintaining programmatic aspects for site digital assets while interfacing with several departments including Site Security, Operations, Emergency Preparedness, and all engineering departments.
Southern Nuclear, a subsidiary of Southern Company, manages and operates six nuclear power electric generating plants that provide approximately 20 percent of the electricity used in Alabama and Georgia. Southern Nuclear is leading the nuclear renaissance by building the first new U.S. nuclear reactors in more than 25 years. When completed, the two Westinghouse AP1000 reactors currently under construction at Plant Vogtle will make the facility the largest in the U.S. with four reactors on one site. Specific responsibilities include:
This position provides engineering support to the cyber security program by:
Understanding the cyber security implications surrounding the overall architecture of plant networks, operating systems, hardware platforms, plant-specific applications, and the services and protocols upon which those applications rely
Assisting in the ongoing development of Southern Nuclear Company's cyber security program by identifying areas of opportunity, researching alternatives and recommending solution
Understanding, relating and transforming security regulatory requirements into information security policy, standards, procedures and guidelines
Performing weekly, monthly, and quarterly testing/monitoring for digital assets
Participating in the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
Executing cyber security assessments in accordance with regulatory basis
Specifying cyber security remediation activities for residual vulnerabilities
Maintaining cyber security program plans (access control, audit and accountability, etc.) for digital assets
Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or a PE (Professional Engineer) license or Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical discipline is required
GIAC, CISM, or CISSP certifications are preferred
Job Requirements:
Commercial nuclear power plant experience in cyber security is desired
Knowledge and understanding commercial nuclear power plant regulations, codes, and standards is desired
3 years engineering experience in cyber security is desired
3 years nuclear power plant related engineering experience is preferred
Previous design change experience is desired
Technical Assessment Methodology (TAM) assessment experience is desired
NEI 13-10 Assessment experience is desired

Job Duties
Contribute to the development, planning and Implementation of an integrated vegetation management (IVM) plan across the assigned territory
Perform Transmission rights of way patrols, vegetation, and electrical clearance assessments
Communicate with customers and land owners regarding rights of way and vegetation matters
Assist with quality control inspections of completed work as well as work in progress to ensure compliance with contract specifications
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current governmental statutory requirements, and local area ordinances, concerning safety clearances between vegetation and electrical conductors
Assist with management of the daily work-plans of multiple contractor resources to ensure work practices are performed safely, productively, and within schedule
Establish and maintain relationships with various federal, state, municipal, and local government agencies and departments related to vegetation management.
Effectively communicate vegetation maintenance objectives and practices to both internal and external customers
Ensure all compliance and regulatory obligations are met
Ensure compliance with requirements of FAC-003-4 always
Work outside normal business hours in support of emergency restoration efforts is possible
Job Requirements
Education / Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry or related field preferred

Job Summary:
This position is assigned to the Site Engineering Department and reports to the Vogtle 3&4 Reactor Engineering Supervisor. Reactor Engineering supports plant operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Reactor Engineers can expect to be on call one week out of every four in support of plant operations.

Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
A Nuclear Engineering degree is strongly preferred.
An advanced degree and/or PE license is a plus.
Background/Experience Requirements:
Previous qualification as a reactor engineer at an operating facility is preferred.
Previous nuclear power plant experience is desired.
Experience with Westinghouse methods is desired.

Safety Analysis Engineer- Corporate- Birmingham
This position is responsible for performance and oversight of engineering and technical products associated with the design and licensing basis hazards, accidents, and safety analyses for the SNC fleet. These analyses are conducted to demonstrate the plants operate within acceptable safety limits and design margins following design and licensing basis events. Types of analyses include evaluations of containment response, radiological releases, and transient analyses associated with assumed accidents and events to ensure regulatory compliance. This position will actively engage with SNC and industry peers in the development of solutions to generic technical issues as they relate to the fleet's accident and safety analyses. This position is located at the SNC Corporate Office, with flexibility to work within the SNC footprint, and will report to the Safety Analysis Manager in the Fleet Nuclear Fuel and Analysis organization.
The work includes but is not limited to compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data; and performing and managing tasks and projects as part of our engineering team. This position requires an individual to be a self-starter; able to prioritize multiple tasks; and have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The person needs to be flexible, and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing nuclear safety analyses and hazards calculations (radiological, dose, pressure-temperature transients, hydrogen generation, flooding, etc.) (UFSAR Chapters 6 & 15).
Technical oversight of nuclear safety analyses and hazards calculations performed by external suppliers.
Assisting Nuclear Fuels by ensuring technical accuracy and verification of SNC fleet core reload licensing inputs (OPL-3, OPL-4, FRED, and RSLC).
Providing engineering reviews for compliance with existing and new regulations.
Supporting preparation of NRC submittals and licensing document updates related to safety analysis scope.
Providing technical oversight of the resolution to NSSS vendor notifications (Technical Bulletins, Nuclear Service Advisory Letters, and Service Information Letters, Safety Communications, etc.) relative to accident analyses.
Monitoring and influencing emerging safety analysis issues to ensure SNC is appropriately positioned to resolve; interfacing with external groups such as NRC, INPO, NEI, PWROG, BWROG, EPRI, and ANS.
May serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is required.
Advanced degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
PE License and/or other specialty certifications preferred.

Description
The Accountant position is an integral part of a team that performs all financial accounting for Southern Power Company, an SEC registrant. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform activities associated with financial accounting for various key areas for Southern Power Company and its subsidiaries, including monthly journal entries, analysis of financial transactions and results, account reconciliations, and other accounting duties as assigned (may include accounting for acquisitions).
Ensure that all internal controls surrounding responsibilities are adequate and functioning.
Provide management with detailed actual to budget or actual to actual variance explanations as requested.
Provide and assist in obtaining relevant accounting and disclosure information for quarterly SEC filings as requested.
Prepare quarterly and annual external audit requests as requested, ensuring timely response and maintenance of good working relationship with the external auditor.
LOCATION: This position sits out of Atlanta, GA however it is a hybrid position with a majority of work being performed remotely while having the ability to come into the office as business needs necessitate.

Southern Nuclear Operating Company's corporate Fleet Plant Support Department provides governance, oversight and support for various Engineering Systems, Components, and Programs for the Southern Nuclear Fleet. Position Description
DESCRIPTION :
This position will function as part of the Southern Power Renewables Performance Engineering Team which provides remote performance monitoring, technical troubleshooting and reporting that support's the SPC fleet of wind, solar, and battery generating assets across the country. The Performance Engineer will utilize engineering concepts and accumulated knowledge to efficiently diagnose and manage issues to continuously improve the SPC renewable fleet performance.
This position is responsible for the following:
Querying, analyzing, and modeling large disparate energy operational data as they pertain to site performance
Reporting on and assisting in improving performance for all SPC Renewable Energy plant's
Manage power performance testing and energy guarantee testing
Track and report on lost energy during outage events
Track and report on data quality issues
Provide weekly/monthly/yearly performance & availability reports.
The position will provide support to SPC Renewable Operations, Commercial Operations and Trading (CO&T), site personnel, Southern Power M&D Center, and the Southern Power Remote Operations Center (ROC).
This position will be considered for hybrid remote work or be physically located at the Southern Power Monitoring and Diagnostics Center in Birmingham, AL. This position will be filled at a level and job classification commiserate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or similar Engineering degree is required as a minimum.
Minimum 3 years or more experience in as reliability or performance engineer in wind, solar, and/or power generation.
Experience with data management techniques to access, integrate, analyze, and visualize data from multiple sources is required. Working experience with OSISoft PI, Power BI, or similar reporting and visualization program, is highly desired.
Understanding of plant performance, Engineering, Operations; equipment, systems, and processes in the renewable energy industry is preferred.
Experience in organizing and managing multiple projects at the same time. Proven ability to plan; ability to discern problems that need immediate attention versus those that allow more time to resolve.
Ability to use multiple data sources such as SCADA, plant controls, and data historians to troubleshoot plant performance issues
Ability to present analysis and conclusions in a clear format that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

Description
The purpose of this position is to ensure that fleet vehicles and equipment is maintained and repaired in a safe, reliable, economical and serviceable manner. This is a Nicor Gas role focused on all preventive and certain advanced corrective maintenance activities on company fleet vehicles and equipment.
Functional Expertise:
-Performs all fleet vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance related activities in accordance with defined fleet procedures.
-Performs electric system diagnostic and repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment; and performs diagnostics and solves drivability problems of all gasoline vehicles.
