Marine Electrician II - San Diego, CA
As the, Marine Electrician II, you will work on a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations. You will join, fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques and the work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations. This position will be based in San Diego, CA.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.
As the, Marine Electrician II, you will perform the following typical tasks:
Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions including troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions.
Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement; selects, sets up, and operates standard test equipment and records test data.
Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed such as: Constructs components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment.
Gather and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performs computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plots data and draws simple curves and graphs.
Perform simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operates and adjusts simple test equipment; records test data.
Rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and you will typically report to a supervisor in a safe work environment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and3 - 5 years of AIT Installation experience.
Have an OSHA 10 certification or able to obtain the certification
Must be able to have the ability to work in areas with drafts, noise, and temperature variation.
Must be able to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift up to 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position. Attention to safety critical.
Applicant must be familiar with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
Applicant must be able to get respirator qualified and wear proper PPE throughout their work shift.
Applicant must be willing to work second shift and willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Ability to travel if necessary
This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens, be able to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.

Configuration Management Specialist - Remote - San Diego, CA
Join Serco in support of our Defense Service sector and Systems Integration and Installation Business Unit as a Configuration Management Specialist providing Technical Sustainment Support, Sustainment Engineering Support, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Configuration Management (CM), and System Installation and Turnover for ONE-Net ISEA. ONE-Net is a navy-wide initiative to install a common and secure IT Infrastructure to OCONUS Navy locations. It is based on Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) architecture and designed to be interoperable with IT-21, NMCI, and global information grid.
In this role, you will:
Experience with lifecycle management (ALM and PLM)
Experience with IT systems (software and hardware) change and configuration management desired state configuration
Experience auditing assets ensuring usage/consumption and configuration settings for managed assets, systems, environments and services are in compliance and generate requisite reporting artifacts
Experience implementing and maintaining processes for the management of assets/configuration items that adhere to enterprise asset and configuration management processes/policies/guidelines
Experience working with various ITSM and CMDB tools and the necessary data and tool integrations with other systems and services
Experience in managing, maintaining, updating, and enhancing configuration management systems across all required configuration items and their relationships to other configuration items and artifacts.
Experience maintaining configuration and utilizing IT assets including cloud assets ensuring all aspects are identified and current in configuration management systems and trackable asset registers
Experience processing artifacts, such as incident, problem, and change records
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Bachelor's degree is required.
2 - 4 years technical experience.
An active Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of AIT Installation experience
Have an OSHA 10 certification or able to obtain the certification
Must be able to have the ability to work in areas with drafts, noise, and temperature variation.
Must be able to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift up to 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position. Position Description
Come join the team that provides this service to United States. Serco-NA, in conjunction with the newly formed United States Space Force (USSF) are responsible for tracking all man-made objects in orbit.
This mission is vital to keeping existing satellites safe and to provide critical information to organizations launching new satellites in the future. One of the assets USSF uses to accomplish this mission is the Ground-based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) System. This optical sensor is employed at three (3) different locations around the world (White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory; and Maui, Hawaii) and helps track the objects in deep space orbit (altitude of 10,000 to 45,000 km).
You will help operate and maintain three (3), one-meter telescopes equipped with highly sensitive digital cameras. You'll respond to Government tasking to obtain metric observations of specific objects daily and help maintain the sensors, support equipment, and the facility that houses it atDetachment 1, 21st Operations Group, (21OG), Stallion Range Center, Socorro, New Mexico.

In this role, you will:
Perform system integration, network administration and remote operation both on Test Control Vessels (TCV), along with from a remote operating station on Point Loma NIWC PAC.
Work closely with a small department of network engineering staff during underway operations to ensure autonomous vessels leave the pier correctly, operate within correct parameters from a network/autonomy perspective, and then return to port in a safe manner.
Assist with the instruction of personnel with lesser experience to provide oversight.
Ensure autonomous vessels remain operational for future autonomous operations to include preventative maintenance, network upgrades, and repairs as required.
Identifying problem areas that may affect future underways and testing.
Participate in crew transfers while underway from TCVs to and from autonomous surface vessels to include operations of Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB) as required.
Provide network environment and advanced level computing environment support.
Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems.
Review design release documents for completeness, proper approvals, and system updates, to ensure correct configuration modifications.
Perform software installations.
Troubleshoot systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.

In this role, you will:
Making copies, types reports and correspondence, enters data into spreadsheets and databases.
Maintaining a front desk to greet customers, subcontractors, and vendors while monitoring a current visitor log.
Assists senior personnel in sorting inventorying and distributing inbound equipment and materials to local customers.
Coordinating outbound shipments under supervision.
Processing receiving documentation for equipment and materials using Government forms such as DD1149 or DD250.
Settings up meetings and travel arrangements.
Assisting with processing and filing receiving documents used to confirm invoice payments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Word processing skills and familiar with Microsoft applications.

In this Client Support Administrator role, you will:
Configure user software, modify software configuration, and perform basic configuration management functions in support of the A8 directorate.

Furthermore, the UPC will conduct daily reviews of all AFCENT Tasker Management Tool (TMT) taskers on NIPR and SIPR for A8 and coordinate with the Divisions for assignment and completion. UPC will monitor all input and output functions for A8 generated TMT taskers. Processing of the taskers, both internal and externally generated, will include building the tasker, establishing the lead, and coordinating offices, coordinating the staff processes and responses, and managing the timelines to ensure all suspenses are met.
Assists staff with setting suspenses and/or prioritizing work for all A8 staff personnel to support the commander/director
Assists with conducting reviews and briefings on all facets of management functions with recommended courses of action for resolving problems
Provides advice and guidance to staff in the organization of administrative, clerical, and procedural requirements.
Assists other clerical staff in locating and selecting the appropriate guidelines, references, and procedures for application to specific cases

Disseminates information concerning new or changed procedures/regulations
Assists with determining and meeting administrative needs based on administrative support program requirements

Qualifications

Understand basic concepts (to include basic grammar concepts), responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents
Gather technical information, prepares written text
Maintain a current internal documentation library
Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio etc.
Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications
Work with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials
Work on all phases of documentation

Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences
Coordinate layout and design of documents
Research highly technical subject matter, organizes information from multiples sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
Under general direction, write technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity
Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources
Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation utilized by the end-user community of DoD electronic equipment and systems
Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer related information
Produce technical documentation for Cryptologic programs or projects developing analytic tradecraft methodologies
Apply technical manual standard NSA DS-89 to work product.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
U.S. citizenship
Six (6) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
