Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • As a Senior Client Solutions Executive (CSE) you will hold responsibility for service sales across Telco customers based out of your designated region. You will work with the extended Territory Sales team and orchestrate a variety of VMware presales resources to build the commercial proposition to your customers and achieve your business objectives by selling large and complex projects

  • You will use your experience in service sales to present and defend your proposals, drive the sales cycle end-to-end, and qualify leads with your customers and partners.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • As a Senior Client Solutions Executive (CSE) you will hold responsibility for service sales across customers based out of your designated region. You will work with the extended Territory Sales team and orchestrate a variety of VMware presales resources to build the commercial proposition to your customers and achieve your business objectives by selling large and complex projects

  • You will use your experience in service sales to present and defend your proposals, drive the sales cycle end-to-end, and qualify leads with your customers and partners.

  • You will be encouraged to openly share your knowledge and approach to service sales with diverse teams and express your passion, dedication and creativity

  • Within 30 days of employment, you will be able to leverage your understanding of Software Defined Data Centers & cloud infrastructures to successfully negotiate and close deals with customers and partners

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Build the statement of work (legal and finance terms)

  • Work as a team with Sales and Presales Solution Consultants on customer Request for Proposal (RFP)

  • Build new solutions for our customers by taking advantage of VMware's emerging technologies

  • Manage the VMware PSO presales resources required to develop proposals and respond to RFQs, RFPs and Statements of Work (SoWs)

  • Work with the territory extended sales team to develop business pipelines

  • Travel as needed within your designated region

  • Liaise with the VMware Key Stakeholders to secure deal and pricing approvals

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

The hiring manager for this role is the Director of Telco Services Sales who has spent 25+ years in services sales in the tech space with most of that spent in the Telco vertical.

His management philosophy is to lead from the front and having been an individual contributor for many years himself, to always work from a position of strength and knowledge but to collaborate to win. While work is important, there are many things more important like health and family so balance is key and will be expected.

The core team this role supports is made up of highly skilled and experienced sales professionals led by one of the best in the business. As a matrixed organization this role will need to work with many internal and external decision makers in an effort to craft the right deal and solution for the customer...but always with the customer first.

Where is this role located?

Home Office: The location of this role is flexible, but is ideally situated in the Denver, CO area of the United States. Work will be done primarily from a Home Office with travel as needed.
