We have several openings for dedicated Talent Acquisition (TA) Managers to provide operational excellence direction across all areas of recruitment including processes, technology, training, compliance, and continuous improvement activities. As a TA Manager, you will help USAA deliver strategic and operational hiring objectives as you manage a team of hard-working recruiters. You will lead recruitment efforts for staffing programs, projects, and operational plans to meet goals align with staffing and resource management.
This role is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following office locations: San Antonio, Phoenix, Charlotte, Colorado Springs, or Tampa.
The Opportunity
What you'll do:
Develop and lead a team of individual contributors to established performance expectations, to include providing feedback, coaching, and career counseling.
Lead the core operational processes for TA delivery team and ensure hiring success by supporting business processes, tools, and systems to support the recruiting team, hiring leaders, and candidates.
Apply established success measures and assess the effectiveness of recruiting solutions to guide shared understanding and continuous improvement around talent pipelines, funnel, and key performance indicators.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to assess business issues and develop executable plans to address program needs and/or drive the development of new recruiting programs and activities.
Endorse continuous process improvement, lean methodologies, and the identification and implementation of standard practices to improve the recruiting processes and overall candidate experience.
Champion compliance efforts with federal and state employment regulations and laws by adhering to EEO guidelines in all recruiting activity, such as interviewing, applicant tracking and mandated job postings.
Serve as talent acquisition consultant to the enterprise, providing guidance, oversight, and communication on recruitment strategies.
Support the design, development, and execution of specific recruitment programs and initiatives, using various channels to enable the hiring plan.
Ensure recruiting programs are aligned with diversity attraction strategies and associated budgets.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree
6 years of relevant experience in staffing/recruiting, consulting, analysis, or business operations management
2 years as a direct team leader, providing coaching and oversight
Demonstrated strategic planning, and subject-matter-expert knowledge of employment laws and federal/local regulations
Ability to lead cross functional projects/teams at the functional business level to implement talent acquisition related initiatives
Experience using analysis, organizational trends, competitive intelligence, and benchmarked industry practices to understand talent shifts

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $95,250 - $182,030.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

The Opportunity
The SVP, Head of Real Estate Lending, is responsible for the creation, development, execution and supervision of all real estate lending products, services, and strategies across USAA's Real Estate Lending business. The executive leverages his or her expertise to build upon a service-oriented, risk conscious culture in directing the continued growth of the entire real estate lending business platform. This executive works with key partners to deliver leading experiences, including: Marketing, Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Control Partners and the Distribution Sales and Services. This executive leads a high performing team to create structural focus on member experiences, to address compliance and regulatory matters by merging traditional/digital product management, data, social, financial management and advices, and to ensure the optimal performance of the real estate lending experiences. This executive ensures general management of competing priorities to include member and employee experience, financial outcomes, risk management and controls, balancing continuous improvement and step change improvements. This executive is responsible for leading teams that focus on the delivery of an efficient, professional, friendly and high level of service with perfect conductivity for the members to acquire products through all channels.
Managerial Responsibilities
Leads the design and execution of USAA's real estate lending strategy, taking into account USAA's broader business strategy and complex regulations and nuanced supervisory expectations, including how they apply in a matrixed commercial environment

Develops talent in the real estate lending team to deliver risk-conscious performance and results - including the identification, development and retention of talent with requisite real estate lending capabilities

Technical and Risk Responsibilities
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role

Leads the creation of innovative real estate lending products and services across all channels (online, mobile, and call center)

Responsible for building and driving quantifiable profitable growth performance with accountability for the P&L, and a focus on expense management and end-to-end customer experience

Develops, communicates, and reinforces, risk appetite and risk tolerance throughout the organization in a manner that causes all employees to align their risk-taking decisions
Owns the real estate lending income statement and ensures continued growth, operational effectiveness and efficiency, with a focus on managing expenses and investments
Accountable for operating within established policies and guidelines, and acting in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and supervisory guidance, including those related to consumer protection, including ensuring policy exceptions are promptly and effectively assessed and escalated
Responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and monitoring an internal control environment for real estate lending, including information systems and preventative and detective controls, to effectively manage material risks
Identifies, assesses, measures, monitors, and controls material risks consistent with the risk appetite and risk tolerance, including the development, adherence, monitoring, reporting on risk limits and risk limit utilization. Also, identifies, assesses, measures, monitors, and controls risk associated with money laundering and individuals or organizations sanctioned by OFAC
Ensures all real estate products are delivered with a focus on our mission to serve our members - driving exceptional member satisfaction through timely, accurate and compliant service
Identifies, reports and resolves risk appetite and risk tolerance breaches. Maintains awareness of disrupters, developments and trends that may affect the competitiveness, quality, and/or profitability of the Bank's ability to support the members' needs
Manages third party provider relationships, including the risks associated with those relationships
Maintains awareness of national developments and trends in consumer and mortgage lending that may affect the competitiveness, quality and/or profitability of FSB products and services
Monitors competition and industry practices for all products; recommends strategies to enhance service and product value, to achieve a competitive advantage

Education

Experience
A minimum of 15 years of experience in technical discipline (e.g. real estate lending ) with a proven track record leading comparable operations and programs (e.g. real estate lending programs) is required
A minimum of 10 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams is required
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a large financial institution ($100 billion +), including 5+ years post-Dodd Frank, in a senior staff role within a real estate lending department is preferred
Regulatory Understanding*

Comprehensive knowledge of Technology/Digital products and emerging technology platforms, applications data analysis and research techniques and standards.

While assignments may change over time, this role is in the Auto Modernization space. The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated I ntermediate level Protective Security Officer for our San Antonio Home Office I facility to provide armed workforce security and safety by responding to and resolving issues pertaining to access control, accident and emergency response, medical response, workplace violence, active shooter events and other security issues. Under direct supervision, uses established procedures and guidelines to perform routine to moderately complex tasks and problem resolution. Performs all duties in alignment with USAA's Security Officer Standards.
What you'll do:
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
Applies developing knowledge of policies, processes, and procedures; seeks guidance from team members to resolve complex issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
Controls access to USAA property and delivery access at entry gates, turnstiles, and visitor lobbies. Provides information and direction to employees, visitors and contractors.
Provides armed response and resolution to critical incidents, such as, workplace violence, active shooter events, bomb threats and other security issues.
Patrols USAA properties to prevent trespassing, theft, vandalism, and criminal activities; enforces parking and traffic controls and composes incident reports.
Performs pedestrian and vehicle traffic direction and parking control as well as vehicular and walking patrols to protect USAA assets.
Works with and provides assistance to civil first responders to include federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and other emergency services providers.
Reviews shift blotter and documents for assigned shift, ensuring that key information is communicated to team members as appropriate.
Participates in quarterly training sessions to sustain competencies in alignment with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Maintains valid First Aid, CPR, and expandable baton certifications in accordance with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Maintains valid state security officer firearm license in compliance with state of employment requirements and in accordance with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
What you have:
High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma, or applicable trade/technical school diploma.
1 or more years of physical security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Experience working with Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Possess valid state driver's license.
Job Offer contingent on passing a Fit for Duty evaluation.
Initial and continued employment conditional upon passing USAA's Protective Security training standards within 3 attempts (for initial and follow-on training cycles) and acquiring required state armed security license and/or certification for assigned post state, i.e., Texas security commission, Florida security D and G licenses, Arizona armed guard training within 6 months.
What sets you apart:
Ability to work 10 or 12 hour shifts: nights, weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime may be required.
Experience responding to emergency incidents.
Ability to respond rapidly and efficiently during emergency situations.
Prior experience using security related systems. Report management system, two-way radios, visitor management systems.
Demonstrated firearm proficiency.
Possess current Private Protective Services Armed Guard License.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $43,750 - $65,640 . Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
