The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Mid-level Protective Security Officer for our Plano, TX facility to provides armed workforce security and safety by responding to and resolving issues pertaining to access control, accident and emergency response, medical response, workplace violence, active shooter events and other security issues. Under limited supervision, uses established procedures to perform moderately complex duties and problem resolution. Performs all duties in alignment with USAA's Security Officer Standards.
What you'll do:
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.Applies proficient knowledge of policies, processes, and procedure; serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
Controls access to USAA property and delivery access at entry gates, turnstiles, and visitor lobbies; provides information and direction to employees, visitors and contractors.
Provides armed response and resolution to critical incidents, such as, workplace violence, active shooter events, bomb threats and other security issues.
Patrols USAA properties to prevent trespassing, theft, vandalism, and criminal activities.
Enforces parking and traffic controls and composes incident reports.
Performs pedestrian and vehicle traffic direction and parking control as well as vehicular and walking patrols to protect USAA assets.
Interfaces with and provides assistance to civil first responders to include federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and other emergency services providers.
Reviews shift blotter and documents for assigned shift, ensuring that key information is communicated to team members as appropriate.
Participates in quarterly training sessions to sustain competencies in alignment with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Maintains valid First Aid, CPR, and expandable baton certifications in accordance with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Maintains valid state security officer firearm license in compliance with state of employment requirements and in accordance with USAA Security Officer Standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
What you have:
High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma, or applicable trade/technical school diploma.
2 or more years of physical security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Experience working with Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Possess valid state driver's license.
Job Offer contingent on passing a Fit for Duty evaluation.
Initial and continued employment conditional upon passing USAA's Protective Security training standards within 3 attempts (for initial and follow-on training cycles) and obtaining required state armed security license and/or certification for assigned post state, i.e., Texas security commission, Florida security D and G licenses, Arizona armed guard training within 6 months
What sets you apart:
Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends and Holidays. Occasional overtime may be required.
Prior physical security experience in a corporate environment
Prior Law enforcement academy, advanced tactical experience, military specialty training and/or advanced medical response is preferred
Experience with report writing, two-way radios, visitor management systems.
Demonstrated firearm proficiency.

The Opportunity
The Core infrastructure Services Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Observability Infrastructure Engineer who will serve on the Logging operations Governance and Support team. As an observability engineer at USAA, you are responsible for bridging the gap between the data producer and data consumer. You will have the opportunity to influence and implement the infrastructure utilized to aggregate log and metric data. You will work with the Event Management pipeline and the associated orchestration of the alerts through the pipeline. You will lead USAA through our AIOps journey to identify, implement, and mature its use within the Availability Command Center and beyond.

Responsible for creating, modifying, maintaining and supporting infrastructure and individual and integrated system components and solutions that enable and IT Services. Balance availability, security, efficiency and functional requirements to help provide an optimized production service. Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensure these risks are effectively identified and escalated to be measured, monitored and controlled.
What you'll do:
Independently designs scalable IT system infrastructure, provides oversight and priority for system change - reserves execution for complex implementations, and automates service delivery and maintenance tasks; provides direction and priority for monitoring and tooling activities.
Independently resolves highly complex technology production issues and leads troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span across multiple systems.

Independently experiments with new patterns and technologies
Helps establish and improve engineering best practices, concepts, and patterns with peers and the business.
Understands the customer and proactively identifies innovative solutions and ideas for the product/business.

Develop software defined infrastructure in code in CI/CD Pipelines
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of infrastructure experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within a specific discipline(s)/technology(s) to include 2 years' experience in Systems Operations environment supporting complex environment deployment and infrastructure management activities or applicable IT experience such as IT Management, Software Development, Data Engineering, and Agile Product/Release Management.
4 years of experience in creating, modifying, and maintaining infrastructure and individual system components.
Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of business operations, risk management, industry practices and emerging trends.
Knowledge and proficient understanding of designing scalable IT system infrastructures, implementing system changes, or automating service delivery and maintenance tasks.

Positioned in the first line of defense to ensure the overall effectiveness of Risk and compliance management programs, Risk analytics and operations in the business. This role will partner and collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management, as well as Business Operations, IT, Audit Services, and Regulators to support Risk and compliance-based initiatives. Responsible for supporting business leader adherence to the established Risk framework and ongoing supervision of business controls including Risk and control self-assessments, identification and evaluation of control effectiveness, identifying control failures, facilitating Risk and compliance remediation, internal and external audits and regulatory exams, and monitoring of the first line of defense to minimize Risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment. Leverages Risk assessment data and identifies key data-driven insights tied to first line of defense.
Manages and drives solutions for stronger controls, and in support of Risk and/or regulatory compliance related initiatives which may include: oversight of procedures/process, accurate regulatory reporting and filing, document governance, Risk control self-assessments, procedure governance, control design, new product controls, CoSA Third Party Governance, or quality governance.
Performs ongoing supervision and oversight of business controls and shares knowledge with team members to evaluate the effectiveness of established business controls.
Responsible for Risk data analysis, report preparation and trend analysis, utilizing business intelligence tools.
Anticipates business needs and proactively identifies opportunities to improve and strengthen the control environment through actionable insights.
Assists with translating control deficiencies into action plans and provides recommendations to enhance governance practices in alignment with Risk and compliance frameworks.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Property Insurance Adjuster, you will work within established guidelines and framework to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle moderate to large loss complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. You will confirm and analyzes coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Manage assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with complex damages including specialty claims. Updates initial reserve levels.
Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources.
Proactively identifies and engages in additional confirmation of potential discrepancies involving complicated situations.
Serves as a resource for less experienced staff, providing informal coaching as appropriate.
Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate Determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.
Communicates with insured about coverage or any issues that involve additional information or considerations regarding settlement amount.
Determines and negotiates complex claims settlement. Makes recommendations to management for settlement amounts outside of authority limits.
Maintains accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process for complex claims.
Proficient knowledge of estimating technology platforms. Utilizes platforms to prepare claims estimates in order to manage complex property insurance claims.
Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe (CAT) operations as needed to include working significant overtime; may involve deployment travel during designated CATs.
May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Recognizes and solves obstacles that occurs in the claims process without supervisory approval.
May require limited travel to resolve claims and conduct in-person inspections.
What you have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
2 years' relevant property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity that includes writing estimates involving dwelling and structural damages.
Successfully acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) adjuster license and state registrations within 90 days of hire.
Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platform.
Advanced knowledge estimating losses of moderate complexity.
Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law.
Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
Developing knowledge of residential construction.
Physical Demand Requirements:
May require the ability to crouch and stoop to inspect confined spaces, to include attics and go beneath homes into crawl spaces.
May need to meet all USAA safe driving requirements including verification of driving record through MVR & possession of valid driver's license.
May require the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to include lifting a ladder in and out of the trunk of a car.

The Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated Sr. Property Adjusters on the Field Team for the Richmond, VA area. As a Senior Field Property Insurance Adjuster, you will work within established guidelines and framework to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle moderate to large loss property insurance claims presented by or against our members. You will confirm and analyzes coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
Field Property Adjusters focus on using technology and desk adjusting for a virtual first approach to inspections and claims handling. USAA also provides a company vehicle to physically inspect losses within your locally assigned territory. Field Adjusters may travel outside of their local territory to respond to claims in other regions when needed. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available.

What you'll do:
Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
Handle assigned claims' caseload comprised of claims with complex damages including specialty claims. Updates initial reserve levels.
Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources.
Proactively identifies and engages in additional confirmation of potential discrepancies involving complicated situations.
Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate.
Figures out coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.
Communicates with insured about coverage or any issues that involve additional information or considerations regarding settlement amount.
Resolves and negotiates complex claims settlement and makes recommendations to management for settlement amounts outside of authority limits.
Maintains accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process for complex claims.
Proficient knowledge of estimating technology platforms to prepare claims estimates in order to manage complex property insurance claims.
Serves as a resource for less experienced staff, providing informal coaching as appropriate.
Recognizes and solves obstacles that occurs in the claims process without supervisory approval.
May require limited travel to resolve claims and conduct in-person inspections.
What you have:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years' relevant property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity that includes writing estimates involving dwelling and structural damages
Successfully acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) adjuster license and state registrations within 90 days of hire
Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platform
Advanced knowledge estimating losses of moderate complexity
Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law
Proven negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed
Developing knowledge of residential construction

Compensation:
USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this skill is: $88,200 - $158,900*
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.

Purpose of Job
This position will lead USAA's public relations team for its lines of business (banking, property-casualty, insurance, life insurance) functions. The leader will be responsible for planning, development of campaigns, budgeting and measurement of public relations programs.
Leads a team of Communications Partners in the development and execution of public, member, and employee communication strategies for assigned business unit. Provides counsel and direction to senior business unit leadership regarding communications plans, strategies and/or tactics to ensure products, services and/or business initiatives are effectively positioned with internal and/or external audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:
Prioritizes, develops and coordinates execution and refinement of assigned business unit communication plans and programs in support of business unit and/or Enterprise business objectives.
Develops and implements communication plans in support of assigned company's strategic objectives, integrating project components from various sources.
Works closely with internal communications, member communications, and public communications as well as business partners to integrate and align plan/program deliverables; resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
Writes, edits, and/or oversees development of appropriately styled communications; may coordinate vital approvals and/or produce and deliver critical messages for senior leaders.
Responsible for establishing appropriate business metrics to measure the effectiveness of business unit communications.
Responsible for staying abreast of issues in the insurance, financial services, and corporate communications industries.
Performs all other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field required OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 or more years of progressive communications related experience
3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience
Subject-matter-expert level writing skills
Subject-matter-expert understanding of the function/discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products
Subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of use of influencers, social media platforms and corporate newsrooms in public relations campaigns
Knowledge of public relations in the insurance and financial services sector
Proven track record of successful execution of public relations programs for large corporations
Experience interacting with and counseling senior executives on handling of media-related topics
