Ideal candidate will have experience with Control Identification/ RCSA with CSBB serving as the first line of defense risk professional within the Governance and Controls Office (GCO), primarily responsible for the execution of the risk control self-assessment (RCSA), while providing support of various risk programs including but not limited to the business and regulatory change initiatives, issues management, loss events, third party, model risk, data risk and cyber risk.
You will manage a large amount of coordination in this role with multiple groups with large teams utilizing your risk expertise to support the development and maturation of second line risk programs in alignment with regulatory expectations while balancing demands on capacity to execute program requirements successfully.

Execute on change and regulatory change risk, external events, data, model, third party and cyber risk in support of the assigned business unit. Provide monitoring and governance over issues management.
Influence, participate in the development and maturation of the firm's risk programs to meet with regulatory expectations.
Serve as a subject matter expert for ORM and ERM programs, providing effective challenge as necessary to program updates, changes. Participate in all applicable working groups for the risk programs.
Communicate, train and monitor adherence of business partners and GCO teammates for changes in risk programs; provide coaching on effective execution, sharing best practices where applicable.
Act as a conduit between the GCO, first line teammates and second line risk program owners/risk partners.
Deliver/Influence recommendations for updates to relevant policies and procedures for risk program execution.
Establish working relationships with line of business leaders and second line, third line of defense risk partners.
Communicate and present materials in various leadership forums, committees.
Mentor teammates within the risk execution team.
Required Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have experience with Control Identification/ RCSA with CSBB serving as the first line of defense risk professional within the Governance and Controls Office (GCO), primarily responsible for the execution of the risk control self-assessment (RCSA), while providing support of various risk programs including but not limited to the business and regulatory change initiatives, issues management, loss events, third party, model risk, data risk and cyber risk.
You will manage a large amount of coordination in this role with multiple groups with large teams utilizing your risk expertise to support the development and maturation of second line risk programs in alignment with regulatory expectations while balancing demands on capacity to execute program requirements successfully.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute on change and regulatory change risk, external events, data, model, third party and cyber risk in support of the assigned business unit. Provide monitoring and governance over issues management.
Influence, participate in the development and maturation of the firm's risk programs to meet with regulatory expectations.
Serve as a subject matter expert for ORM and ERM programs, providing effective challenge as necessary to program updates, changes. Participate in all applicable working groups for the risk programs.
Communicate, train and monitor adherence of business partners and GCO teammates for changes in risk programs; provide coaching on effective execution, sharing best practices where applicable.
Act as a conduit between the GCO, first line teammates and second line risk program owners/risk partners.
Deliver/Influence recommendations for updates to relevant policies and procedures for risk program execution.
Establish working relationships with line of business leaders and second line, third line of defense risk partners.
Communicate and present materials in various leadership forums, committees.
Mentor teammates within the risk execution team.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
Five years of risk management experience in financial services or related field
Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to think critically and strategically, multi-task, and drive change
Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities
Ability to provide effective challenge to senior levels of leadership
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Finance or equivalent science/academic field.

Responsible for the overall performance of defined market, including the achievement of expected levels of client service quality, balance sheet quality, profitability and growth, and Risk Management. Should drive a consistent client experience that positions Truist as the Premier Advisory Bank in the Commercial segment (defined as $10-100MM in annual sales) in local market. Integrate all banking functions in the local market, including retail teams and line of business (LOB) partners, including Commercial Credit and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners. Directly manages a team of four or fewer Commercial Bankers in addition to an individual portfolio of clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as primary sales leader for four or fewer Commercial Bankers ensuring that Truist Culture and Sales Processes are effectively executed. Coordinate prospect and client assignments with appropriate Business Banking, Middle Market, and Real Estate leaders using the Truist segmentation philosophy. Develop and execute a focused marketing plan, growing new relationships, and expanding existing client relationships. Responsible for meeting loan, deposit, fee-based revenue expectations for self and the team.
Manage weekly sales week including facilitating Monday sales calls, inspecting calling and referral activity, managing pipeline and holding RMs accountable for commitments through Friday debriefs.
Deliver a differentiated Client Experience in all interactions with clients, prospects, and centers of influence driven by use of Financial Insights and other strategic advisory tools and resources.
Develop new business client relationships and improve market share of business loans and non-credit services, including deposits. Execute Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) with extensive inclusion of IRM partners in sales meetings and call planning, joint calling with relationship managers, and development and delivery of custom solutions, including specific efforts to serve the retail banking needs for clients' owners/management/associates (e.g. Wealth Management, Truist@Work).
Assume responsibility for the profitability, quality, liquidity, and growth of the team's assigned commercial loan portfolios by ensuring the servicing of all client credit relationships, including credit proposal write-ups, file documentation, legal documentation, compliance, and loan closings, identifying potential portfolio weaknesses, and managing problems/delinquent credit relationships. Ensure adequate data integrity and risk management. Interpret and ensure communication of and adherence to the Bank's policies, programs and objectives.
Responsible for employment, training, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, career enhancement and staffing for commercial team.
Responsible for selection, coordination, and leadership of the community advisory board and activities. Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community affairs, associations and groups to solicit new business.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
Stonier or Louisiana State University graduate, Leadership Development Program, or equivalent program at another financial institution
Eight years of banking experience
Ability to manage a team of up to four bankers
Strong verbal and written communication skills; must speak fluent English
Strong understanding of commercial credit including underwriting, loan structuring, pricing to effectively advocate for clients
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
