Curry Transfer & Recycling, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Septic Pumper Driver to join the team in Brookings, Oregon.
The Schedule will be Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm with occasional overtime. Starting rate of pay will be $21.00/Hour.

Our Pumper Truck Driver will be responsible for driving a truck on specified routes to mechanically collect waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. Daily work will involve heavy industrial lifting, lifting waist high, gripping with hands, moving at a brisk consistent pace, and occasional bending. This position will also be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously serving customers. Shift starts at 7:00am and the day ends around 4:00pm or sooner. This position does get a lot of OT in the summer with occasional weekend events.
Starting rate of pay will be $21.00/Hour
The ideal candidate will:

Requirements:
Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles
Drive for periods of up to 1 hour at a time
Load and unload portable toilets with lift gate: Portable toilets weigh 185lbs
Maneuver portable toilets on and off lift gate as well as for placement: using leveraging equipment when possible such as a dolly
Lift and carry up to 50lbs
Clean portable toilets: carry and hold hose while pumping. Weight of hose is approximately 15lbs. Use sprayer to spray out the portable toilets.
Clean and service up to 50 units per day
Job requires full range of motion which includes the ability to lift, bend, and stretch.

A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. The Starting rate of pay is $17.00-19.00 Per hour, DOE.
Responsibilities and Job Duties.
Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service, talks with customers by phone and in person, to receive orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.
Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records and issues discontinuance orders.
Demonstrate effective use of software applications, at a minimum MS Word and Excel proficient.
Delivers services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill. Interacts with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints in a courteous manner Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment with very detailed expectations Solicit sale of new or additional services.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work environment is in a call center. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lighted. CSR call areas can be noisy and work may be repetitious and challenging, with little time in between calls. Some calls are evaluated to ensure high standards. Also, long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen are very common.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Ability to safely operate a Garbage Truck on specified routes . Ability to read Route Tablet and service each customer identified on the Route or assigned by the dispatcher. . A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday Starting at 5:30am or 6 am, with an occasional Saturday as needed, 45-50 hour work week. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

Waste Connections is currently looking for an Operations Supervisor at Novak Sanitary Services, located in Sioux Falls, SD.
We are looking for an innovative, creative and proactive leader capable of creating and driving change, build relationships with co workers providing a great service experience to our customers and who enjoys being part of a winning team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the District Manager, the Operations Supervisor will monitor all aspects of their assigned line of business to achieve key safety, service and productivity metrics. The supervisor will observe and coach staff (aprox 25 Drivers) to ensure that they provide excellent safe efficient service at each customer site. Each supervisor will resolve customer complaints and follow up to ensure it stays resolved. The Supervisor will monitor breakdowns, vehicle damage and customer service delivery. The Supervisor will respond to spills in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
You must monitor the transportation budget to ensure funds are properly utilized and implement organizational objectives as dictated by management. Daily tasks include supervising employee performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order. You will manage databases that detail transport activities, financial accounting, employee schedules and personnel records. Management also relies on you for hiring and firing recommendations, training staff in department policies and procedures, and sharing information about new laws or technological advances. In addition, you must often serve as a point of contact for customers, building relationships and addressing complaints.

Responsibilities:
Lead 2 Scale House Cashiers on a daily basis. Including hiring, development and performance management through training, work allocation, employee evaluations, problem resolution and enforcing progressive discipline when necessary.
Addressing escalated customer complaints and assisting customers in a professional manner.
Approaching all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Review new customer accounts and audit reports to identify account errors.
Regular interaction with other departments to encourage a collaborative work environment and address immediate issues.
Manage daily administrative operations of a department including establishing work priorities; assist in resolving problems related to the day-to-day operations of the department.
Review and approve work orders and account adjustments on a daily basis.
Oversee collections progress throughout the month, and re-allocate resources as needed.
Review accounts with credit balances and request refund checks.
Process all Accounts Payable.
Review and approve payroll time punches for the department on a daily basis. Correct unmatched punches. Approve PTO requests.
Assist with the development and implementation of reporting procedures; oversee integrity of customer billing.
Gain a strong understanding of the services offered in Tehama County and the nuances of the regulatory environment.
Planning & leading weekly team meetings, celebrating team success, maintaining and encouraging high morale.
