In this position you will be operating equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, excavators, and off road dump trucks. You will be responsible for routine inspection and maintenance on the equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.

This is a physical job working outside in all weather conditions.

Monday-Friday day shifts with occasional Saturdays.

The Position:

We are looking for a High Energy Customer Service Representative to join the team at our Hauling location in Rockford, IL. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) fields calls from Customers and works to resolve problems they raise concerning service or billing. A successful CSR must understand the Waste Connections business, so they can resolve various types of customer issues. Customer Service Representatives must show empathy or sensitivity to the customer regarding the issue at hand.

Job Duties:

• Works in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes.

• Effectively communicates issues, needs and opportunities with customer service employees and other managers & solicits sale of new or additional services.

• Interviews customers and records interview information into computer.

• Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service.

• Fills out contract forms, determines charges for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders.

• Take payments, bank deposits, key word orders, keys production paperwork and general office duties

This position will perform a variety of duties including the washing and cleaning of Heavy Equipment in support of maintenance operations. This is a Sunday through Thursday position starting at 8:00 am through 4:30 pm. Wage is $21.00/HR

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and implement a machine cleanliness program and see that machines stick to an organized wash schedule.

• Help during Lunchtime services which include cleaning tracks, checking fluids, and washing machines.

• Sundays, in charge of lubing and fueling machines

• Sweep floor, put parts away, and perform other custodial functions to maintain order and cleanliness in the work area.

This position is very similar to a call center type position where you will handle inbound calls from our customers.
