This position works closely with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design and delivery. Applies engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. Leverages technical knowledge, experience and client relationships to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software. May mentor, train and review work of junior engineer staff and provide constructive feedback. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB's clients.

Essential Responsibilities:
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Assist in the development of project specifications.
Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.

The Traffic Management Center Operator I is an entry level position that works as a part of a highly collaborative operations team to ensure safe and efficient traffic movement by monitoring roadways and responding to planned/unplanned traffic incidents, congestion, and travel time imbalances. Monitoring and response is performed from an operations center using 2,500+ field devices such as CCTV cameras, traffic detection systems, dynamic message signs, traffic signal controllers, and others.
The goal of the Traffic Management Center is to support safe highway travel in the Southwest Florida area by providing comprehensive advance motorist warning of incidents which affect travel through the region.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Monitoring roadways using a network of intelligent transportation system field devices such as CCTV cameras, traffic detectors, and others.
Verifying incidents using field devices and coordinating response amongst several agencies including the Florida Highway Patrol, Road Ranger Service Patrol, and FDOT Asset Maintenance Contractors.
Operating or ensuring the operation of advance motorist warning systems to mitigate the effects of incidents/congestion and prevent secondary crashes.
Writing basic reports and creating/filling spreadsheets for data collection purposes.
