Come join our Elevator Support Unit (ESU)! The position will support contracted skilled trades work on Weapon Elevators and Aircraft Elevators and their systems on U.S. Navy ships. The selected candidate will support ESU by performing a variety of skilled trades, maintenance, and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators, cargo handling systems and associated equipment, including aircraft elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors. Selected candidate will work closely with higher level employee in specialized assignments. May train/assist other employees/navy personal on shipboard systems and day-to-day operation. Work includes daily activities of physical labor in an industrial and shipboard environment. Your accomplishments will make a positive impact supporting the U.S. Navy and America's national defense! Travel within and outside of the continental United States may be required.

What You Will Do

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.

  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.

  • Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations.

  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. Applies understanding of production and processes to assignments.

  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May assist in the development and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.

  • Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.

What You Must Have

  • Must have High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience.

  • Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.

  • Must have experience performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and testing of electrical systems.

  • Must be proficient in reading electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Must have experience conducting on-site installation of equipment while following established safety, qualify control & testing procedures.

  • Must be able to calibrate and make minor repairs on tools/equipment.

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD confidential security clearance.

HII - Mission Technologies seeks a full-time Senior Business Process Analyst to support our customer in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) effort. What You Will Do

  • Serves as a Senior Business Process Analyst

  • Reviews, edits, integrates, coordinates, and shares information, activities, and reporting to create a common operating picture across multiple lines of effort in the CMS Division of Strategic Intelligence (DSI), including Counterintelligence (CI), Insider Threat (InTh), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

  • Maintains comprehensive business process flow diagrams (i.e., process maps/flow charts) to document and visualize workflows that are supported by new software application.

The Role

Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

The Role

Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.

The Role

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Serve in the capacity of Re-Entry Control (REC) certifier.

Aid in the establishment of a formal training and qualification program for Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAS).

The Role

This position is for a new Manager Design Engineering 1 role for Submarine Engineering - Advanced Capabilities Team in Department E35, specifically the Propulsion Plant (PP) design of our nation's next Fast Attack Submarine, SSN(X). The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional team of Designers from multiple disciplines (hull, mechanical, electrical, piping, structure) as related to propulsion systems and operations for R&D, concept, and detail design of PP component arrangements and structures within the PP spaces of SSN(X). The candidate will interface with NNS (PP) Managers, Engineers, Program Office representatives, and other management in both E11 and E35. The candidate will also interface with external Managers, Designers and Engineers from Electric Boat Corp and customers such as NNL and NAVSEA 08.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Design major components or major portions of a functional system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operation

  • Develop basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal

  • Investigate pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost

  • Coordinate with other organizations affected by design development

  • Make layouts of complex assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, and structures

  • Check completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning

  • Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers

Must Have

Design Apprentice certification or Associate's degree in Design with 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience;

Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Project Manager who can work remotely, supporting a large, dynamic, and fast-paced C5ISR FEDSIM contract to provide the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and its mission partners with emerging technologies in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems and associated cybersecurity, communications, and information assurance... Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and communicate to corporate management the status of projects, with attention to resource utilization, project costs, and risk management.

- Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products

Summary

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries seeks a current Reserve, Air National Guard or retired/separated U.S. military C-130/C-17/KC-135/KC-46/C-5 pilot or navigator to fill the role of a Mobility Air Forces Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Distributed Training Center (DTC) in O'Fallon, IL. The MAF SME will apply their operational knowledge of Air Force doctrine, aircraft capabilities, and tactics to prepare realistic aircrew training scenarios and lead the execution of MAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events. This position is located at a site connected to the MAF Distributed Training Network which is present at multiple MAF installations such as Scotts AFB, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Joint Base Charleston, Fairchild AFB, Travis AFB, Wright-Patterson AFB, Dyess AFB, Little Rock AFB to name a few. #LI-MJ1

What you will do

Leads and facilitates mission briefings and debriefings as well as evaluates simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency. Collaborates with MAF Aircrew Training Device providers and our customers to determine exercise requirements that will enable the units to meet the MAF DMO Program vision to enhance Global Reach through a network of live, virtual, and constructive training capabilities.

Provides operational and tactical level experience in integrated employment of MAF DTC core missions, with specific expertise in fighter employment and fighter integration. Expertise in sister service core missions may be appropriate and requested for training joint customers. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to support DTC Operational Training events

  • Lead the development, coordination, and integration of MAF Mission Profile (MMP) Events to maximize training.

  • Coordinate with MAF units, external players, exercise directors and Aircrew Training Systems personnel on DMO mission training requirements.

  • Provide DMO Event Control / Management during event planning and execution.

  • Functions as the mission SME, orchestrating Virtual-Constructive inputs into DMO events.

HII-Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect. The Enterprise Architect searches, develops, documents, and analyzes enterprise, operational, and system architectures.

Essential Job Responsibilities

- Develop DOD Architecture Framework-compliant views and associated data.

- Work with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, nodes, activities, associated inputs, controls, outputs, and mechanisms.

- Prepare, staff, and publish formal architecture documents.

- Produce architecture development plans and reports.

- Produce Integration Road Maps.

- Conduct Strategic Architecture Branch staff actions (tasks, papers, briefings, etc.)- Research, develop/document, and analyze architectures (including business/warfighting/enterprise information environment/intelligence processes and information technology) to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls; determine and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions; and research and develop other architecture related documents and plans.

- Participate in DOD Enterprise Architecture conferences; generate minutes and capture essential action items.

- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.- Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.

- Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.

- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications

15 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 13 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; 10 years relevant experience with a Ph.D. or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

- 5-10 years of progressive IT experience in enterprise architecture

- Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Joint military experience

- Working knowledge of the DOD Architecture Framework and other key DOD architecture and strategic planning instructions.

- Working knowledge of DOD Architecture Repository System (DARS).
