KBR is looking for a Biomedical Engineer to support Aerospace Physiology & Neuroscience research. The Biomedical Engineer will provide engineering and technical support to DoD-sponsored flight and altitude research and training conducted by the Aerospace Physiology, Neuroscience, and Biodynamics laboratories of the Air Force Research Laboratory.
This position will participate and lead biomedical research focused on understanding the normal human response to flight and space, and developing, testing, and delivering countermeasures to those untoward responses that may affect crew health, safety, and/or performance during or after missions.
The ideal candidate will possess skills to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on simple engineering problems and methods. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform work that involves conventional engineering practices
Application of engineering principles and practice of related specialties
Design and develop software and hardware for data collection and testing, including modifications to commercial off the shelf systems, limited in-house electromechanical fabrication and/or working with outside vendors for experiment software/hardware deliverables
Collect, reduce, collate, analyze, and archive operational, flight, flight analog, and ground data
Analyze experimental data and recommend modifications to analysis procedures and analytical methods; develop and modify software for data reduction and analysis
Operate specialized equipment used in tests on human subjects
Operate data acquisition systems during hardware verification, science verification, and actual data acquisition from human subjects
Evaluate hardware for potential acquisition, contact vendors for information, and initiate procurement
Assist in the preparation of human research protocols, technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts
Develop safety documentation for test readiness reviews and meetings related to the development and implementation of human research protocols, detailed test plans, etc.
Contribute to the formulation and documentation of standard procedures in the laboratory
Participate as a member of a research team working closely with principal investigators, pilots/astronauts, subjects, support scientists, and other engineers
Develop a thorough knowledge of KBR's policies and procedures governing the use of human test subjects
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Master's Degree plus 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in biomedical or mechanical engineering, or a closely allied field
Must be skilled in the design, testing, evaluation, and integration of biomechanical instrumentation intended for use with human subjects
Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria and use judgment to make decisions to provide engineering solutions to problems
Knowledge of human physiology to understand biomedical experiments designed to characterize the human adaptive response to space flight and space flight analogs
Able to work effectively both in small teams and independently and work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting where there are frequently divergent or competing goals for the project implementation and outcome
Previous experience working with test subjects
Advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Office products

This role is a part of the APS-03 Program. The U.S. Army's pre-positioned stocks (APS) serve to provide materiel power projection around the globe. The Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Mech III) will:
KBR is seeking highly qualified mechanics with automotive maintenance training and experience to work in our wheeled vehicle and trailer shops. Certifications and proof of qualifications should be provided with resume at the time of application. The hiring manager reserves the right to review and validate qualifications to determine the best fit candidate.
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
This Motor Vehicle Mechanic is among the most seasoned and trained mechanics in the Automotive Maintenance Shops within the Maintenance Department. This mechanic will perform field level automotive maintenance on all automotive tactical and combat equipment assigned or work-loaded to the APS-3 program. May be eligible to lead a team of 8-12 lesser qualified or experienced mechanics. Uses government furnished special tools, property, and facilities to perform responsibilities.
Field level maintenance on US military automotive equipment. Includes diagnostics, parts identification and requisition, servicing and repair in accordance with technical specifications and specified repair times.
Limited A/C repair and service on a wide range of automotive and material handling equipment
Maintain maintenance records and documentation in accordance with government regulations and local policies.
Properly use, store, account for, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste used and generated in the performance of duties. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Movement of materiel and assets with forklifts and dollies.
Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment.
Must be capable of getting a minimum of a SECRET security clearance.
REQUIREMENTS

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The successful Helpdesk Support Technician candidate will be part of the distributed KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Serengeti Research Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) Hybrid Cloud and the TRMC's Cloud Hybrid Edge-to-Enterprise Evaluation Test & Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) of tools. As an experienced Help Desk Support Technician, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and user experience of our distributed userbase while also contributing to the overall responsiveness and efficiency of our BDKM and Cloud teams. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for all CHEETAS and Serengeti IT related questions to include: helpdesk-, service- and feature- requests. On both the classified and unclassified system this position will be responsible for: establishing & maintaining Confluence / Jira ticket workflows, monitoring Confluence wiki pages Jira tickets and helpdesk email reflectors for user requests / questions, creating and maintaining Jira tickets for those requests, maintaining awareness of all requests which come in from the community, resolving requests and answering questions when possible or elevating the question to Subject Matter Experts (SME) on the distributed TRMC team when necessary, this position will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page to assist users with self-service all while tracking the lifecycle of all tickets from creation to resolution & closure to ensure no user request falls through the cracks.
