Job Description

Title:

Diego Garcia: Technician, Quality Inspection

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement QC Program and perform on-site QC functions to assure the quality work.

  • Perform QC reviews and processing of all project submittals, test reports, certifications and other documentations required in the contract.

  • Serves as the liaison between the government Construction Manager (CM) and IDIQ Project Management.

  • Interfaces with disciplines to steward resolution of technical issues, Requests for Information (RFIs), and non-compliant work.

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation, and ensures testing is performed.

  • Prepares punch lists and validate corrective action plans.

  • Prepares and issues overall QC inspection status report and maintain non-conformance log.

  • Coordinates different holding and witness points to Government Construction Managers (CM).

  • Performs project material verification and prepares associated documents.

  • Plans, coordinates, and leads QC meetings, mock-ups and other QC related activities.

  • Reports quality issues to Project Manager and Construction Superintendent promptly including regular updates for reporting requirements.

  • Familiar with EM-385-1-1 and has experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.

  • Performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Must have knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and/or 9001:2015 is highly desired.

  • Must possess administrative, organizational, and computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, under strict deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Comfort multitasking and handling multiple requests from different individuals and departments.

  • Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment.

  • Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated when managing communication channels.

  • Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAININGS

  • International Code Council (ICC) Certification

  • Certified Mechanical Inspector

  • Professional certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is highly desired.

  • Construction Quality Management for Contractors

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering fields based on a 5-year course of study from an accredited College or University.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in supervising mechanical construction work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling.

  • Duties may include monitoring job progress according to schedules, coordinating with material expediters concerning critical items of supply, participating in expenditure forecasts, and performing schedule analysis.

  • Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion.

  • Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis.

  • Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls.

  • Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

  • Projects priorities develop production schedules for all projects.

  • Produces schedules for fabrication, installation, and repair of all systems.

  • Correlates project schedules to align with client forecasted master schedule.

  • Analyzes production specifications and construction data and performs mathematical calculations to determine the material, tools, and human resources requirements for the schedule.

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of SharePoint, NAVFAC Maximo preferred to create and label documentation related to schedule status reporting.

  • Knowledge of construction projects, resource loading, and staffing, including performing risk analysis and pinpointing scheduling conflicts in advance.

  • Ability to interact with all project stakeholders effectively.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills which enable to effectively liaise with clients, other departments within the organization, subcontractors, and clients, and report directly to the Senior Management.

  • Must be detail orientated and have good project management skills.

  • Must have a valid and be able to obtain driver's license in country of Origin.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

Knowledge of the Electronic Construction Management System (eCMS) would be considered a plus.

EDUCATION:

Diego Garcia is a remote, tropical island in the Indian Ocean with a Naval Support Facility that serves as the base of operations, maintenance and logistical support for operational forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf areas. The Fire Alarm System Technician (NICET III Certified) will:

  • Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.

  • Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.

  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

  • Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.

  • Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.

  • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

  • Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.

  • Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be NICET Certified Level I, II, and III - Fire Alarm Systems.

  • Responsible for the performance of operational duties for Navy Drinking Water Systems.

  • Responsible for supervising or directing the operation or maintenance of a particular WTP or water distribution system and making process control and system integrity decisions.

  • Implements installation criteria and requirements for the U.S. Navy Overseas Drinking Water (ODW) quality program.

  • Manages, collects, and interprets drinking water data within the installation.

  • Identifies deficiencies in the drinking water system and works with water plant operators or the requirements branch to implement corrective actions.

  • Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of processes & capabilities to advance hybrid-cloud strategy for KBR's customers

  • Work in team environment to architect full hybrid-cloud solutions including preparing cost estimates

  • Work closely with the architects and engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect business needs, budget, security requirements, and service level requirements for KBR's customers

  • Monitor cloud costs on daily, weekly, and monthly basis

  • Provide cloud cost analysis in active cloud accounts

  • Work with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement scalable software services that meet customer budget

  • Automate cost analysis with dashboards, scripts, or other cloud cost tools

  • Ability to lead and develop interns

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required by July 1, 2024

  • Proficient in developing scripts using scripting languages

  • High proficiency using CloudCheckr to provide detailed cost analysis

  • Basic knowledge in the use of Linux

  • Familiarity with basic AWS services

  • Familiarity AWS costs

  • Proven ability to work across teams in a distributed environment

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Strong aptitude to learn and passion for problem solving

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, MIS or Engineering preferred

  • Experience with agile techniques and methods

  • Proficient in the use of Python

  • Experience building executive level presentations explaining data analysis

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Three years of continuous residency in the US

  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for government facility access and user accounts

  • Performing duties onsite at USGS EROS facility, Sioux Falls, SD is preferred

We are looking for a Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the team who is responsible for integrating the physical, mental and psychological wellness of our service members and their families for the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) contract to optimize and sustain Special Operations Forces (SOF) mission readiness, longevity, and performance through integrated and holistic human performance programs designed to strengthen the Force and Family.

    Responsibilities :

    - Engage all quality improvement and staff meetings, conferences

    - Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work.

    - Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required.

    - Maintain accurate medical records of all patients seen and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment.

    - Participate in military specific training. This position may include clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees.

    - May be required to perform some, or all, of the following activities: Participates in and successfully completes required DoD or service required training; Contact referred patients to assess treatment adherence; Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity; Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help patient problem-solve solutions to barriers; Provide patients with education regarding their mental health condition and treatment regimen; maintain patient information in a patient registry; maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical records of all patients contacted for review by the managing physician; Routinely staffs difficult cases with the referring provider, behavioral health consultant and/or psychiatry consultant; and Performs case management functions.

    Required Education/Experience:

    - Position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.

    - Must have a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

    - Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

    - Maintain a current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

    - Maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF.

    - Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting.

    - Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services.

    - Experience in brief behavioral interventions.

    - May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges.

    Required Skills/Training :

    - Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

    - Prior military and/or SOF experience.

    - Experience working in a Government setting such a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.

    - Must comply with Safety, Health and Environmental plan, policies and procedures.

    - Must comply with the Quality Assurance plan, policies and procedures.

    - Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.

    - Responsible for completing all required training.

    - Perform other assignments and duties, as required.
