Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding business relationships to advance product or service offerings for an AHA educational healthcare platform. Responsible for creating strategic and tactical plans to promote revenue generating products as well as managing to client needs through lead generation and evaluation of targeted markets.
Develop and implement annual business development plan to achieve revenue and product growth goals. Conduct account planning and evaluation sessions
Analyze market opportunities, develop products/services, create go to market plans and tools
Cultivate new or existing clients to influence or expand AHA educational platform, portfolios, and services. Establish rapport to develop opportunities for AHA to meet business needs
Ensure successful negotiation and execution of complex supplier or sales agreements and contracts. Reviews or recommends solutions to legal issues in collaboration with legal department
Monitor and evaluate progress toward goals, identify goal shortfalls and develop strategies to achieve budgeted/plan goals. Create and distribute reports on outcomes and key deliverables for new business development, current clients, and prospective clients
Work to improve processes for market development. Maintain customer relationship management system. Reports on status of negotiations, sales, or customer participation
Stay current with industry knowledge, competitive analysis, and overall trends to support current and prospective clients
Develop and maintain budget for assigned projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Two (2) - Five (5) years of equivalent experience
Experience in product/service business development, including sales planning, goal setting, and generating qualified leads
Experience in product/service development or brand management and growth
Experience in product pricing, budgeting, or related financial analysis
Ability to analyze market data and report on trends or impact to potential business development
Ability to formulate effective business-to-business marketing/sales plans
Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to negotiate, facilitate and build business relationships
Advanced writing and presentation skills
Skills in analyzing and modeling market data
Ability to travel up to 50% local and overnight stay
Preferred Experience:
Experience healthcare, clinical care, or health technology
Experience working for a non-profit organization

We are looking to fill a Development Director position in our Hollywood, FL office. The director will coordinate, plan and implement activities and resources necessary to achieve fundraising goals and campaign objectives for the South Florida Heart Ball campaign.

Responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Achieving assigned revenue goals by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners.
Driving new business development by soliciting and maintaining high-level corporate and patron sponsors by developing year-round business and cultivation plans.
Recruiting, orientating, and managing c-suite volunteer leadership based on nationally established methodologies.
Maintaining an ongoing pipeline of potential sponsors, donors, and volunteer leadership.
Instrumental in building volunteer leadership committees.
Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned fundraising event(s) according to standard methodologies and event timeline.
Confirming detailed, timely and accurate data entry of relevant information.
Collaborating with other staff and volunteers as needed to promote and support local initiatives and to optimize event market strategy.
In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Development and will work alongside other directors to meet the overall revenue goal for the South Florida market. Daily travel within the Greater Miami / Fort Lauderdale market is required.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least two years of work experience in sales, preferably special event, or nonprofit fundraising
Knowledge and skills in fundraising principles, practices and techniques, notably peer-to-peer fundraising
Ability and experience recruiting, training, and cultivating top-level donors and volunteers
Excellent listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making
Highly effective organizational skills, time management, responsibility, leadership, and motivation
Ability to work outside of standard hours which may involve some evening and/or weekends
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical territory

Enable ongoing BP, nutrition security, and tobacco screening and referral to needed services in clinical or community settings.
Build community capacity to support healthy living and skill building including organizing, connecting, and/or delivering community training and education opportunities.
Engage local and social media in blood pressure control and healthy living promotion
Mobilize the community in addressing cardiovascular health and contributing conditions such as nutrition and tobacco
Connect health centers and community organizations with social platforms to facilitate ongoing screening and referral for social needs
Establish local support for patients/community members in navigating the care or resources they need
Promote registration in research platforms among historically under-represented populations
Launch learning collaboratives for health or community centers with similar populations.
Plan and implement local engagement events - days of service, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness of blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and related issues and engage the community in supporting one another in key strategies for management.
Cultivate and manage volunteer clubs in local schools or community organizations.

Responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Achieving assigned revenue goals by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners.
Driving new business development by soliciting sponsorships and generating participant income through developing year-round business and cultivation plans.
Driving peer-to-peer fundraising by supporting corporate partners and team leaders effectively.
Recruiting, orienting, and managing C-suite volunteer leadership based on nationally established methodologies.
Maintaining an ongoing pipeline of potential sponsors, donors, and volunteer leadership.
Instrumental in building volunteer leadership committees.
Monitoring participant fundraising trends and implementing proven strategies to improve income.
Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned fundraising initiatives according to standard methodologies and campaign timeline.
Confirming detailed, timely and accurate data entry of relevant information.
Collaborating with other staff and volunteers as needed to promote and support local initiatives and to optimize event market strategy, and drive community impact.
Daily travel within the market is required.

Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience preferred; college graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Knowledge and skills in fundraising principles, practices, and techniques, notably peer-to-peer fundraising preferred.
Ability and experience recruiting, training, and cultivating top-level donors and volunteers preferred.
Excellent listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making.
Highly effective organizational skills, time management, responsibility, leadership, and motivation.
Ability to work outside of standard hours which may involve some evenings and/or weekends.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical territory.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Provides administrative and office support to assigned staff. Performs general office duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, making outbound calls, scheduling appointments, providing customer service, filing, processing inbound and outbound mail.
Provides meeting planning and meeting support services (including logistics/scheduling, meals, audio-visual equipment set-up, meeting agenda, packet preparation and minutes). Handles logistics for special events. Schedules meetings with designated stakeholders and staff to discuss priority issues.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary minimum to midpoint of the range is $17.60 to $23.10 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. AHA reserves the right to pay more or
Employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the medical, dental, and vision plans the first of the month following the start date. AHA subsidizes the medical and dental cost to ensure benefits are affordable. Eligible dependents under AHA's group benefit plans include legal spouse, domestic partner, children under the age of 26 or who are disabled. AHA offers additional benefits like an EAP, telehealth benefit for general medical and behavioral health, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability.
Retirement Plans: AHA retirement plans offer employees a way to start saving after their first paycheck. The retirement plans provide employer contributions after two years of service. If you have previous 501(c)(3) non-profit experience, within the last 5 years, at a national health agency, an institution of higher learning or a medical institution, that experience may count towards the two-year waiting period. Employees are 100% vested in employee and employer contributions.
Paid Days Off: Regular full-time and part-time employees earn Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service. PTO begins accruing on date of hire. Full time employees receive one paid Community Service time off day per year and are encouraged to participate in projects, programs and organizations which contribute to the health and vitality of their communities. AHA also offers 12 paid holidays per year.
Leaves of Absence: AHA offers both Short Term and Long Term Disability benefits which replace earnings if you are unable to work due to a non-work-related illness or injury.
