Responsible for the preparation and service of meals to children and staff. Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines.

• HS Diploma or GED required

• Basic Math problem solving skills

• Experience preparing meals for a large number of people preffered

• Measure USDA Food program preffered

• Must attend or have attended a Food Handler's Workshop

• Follow all policies as designated by state licensing and by CNI

• Prepare the food served to the children in accordance with the meal patterns required by the childcare food program

• Follow the menus that have been developed and notify the director of any deviation from the posted menu

• Wash, rinse and sanitize dishes and pots/ pans and replace on shelves

• Work with the director to order monthly food items

• Pull all back dated food items forward upon the arrival of new food order and put new food on shelves and in containers

• Wear a hair net at all times

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in accordance with the standards set by the division of environmental health

• Perform cleaning duties including scour sinks, straighten and wipe out refrigerator, wipe down stove and fan, empty garbage after lunch and at the end of the day, sweep and mop kitchen floor, clean and sanitize office/staff bathrooms, clean oven, clean trash can with bleach and water, clean counter tops with bleach and water, defrost and clean out freezers, clean, sweep and mop laundry room, dust shelves in kitchen and laundry room, and use fresh wash rinse sterile water in sinks between washing

• Assist with preparing all paperwork required by the food program including meal counts and production records

• Willing to do other duties as assigned

• At least 25 years of age.

• Possess a current driver license free of moving violations within the past two years.

• Successfly complete background check.

• Certified in First Aid and CPR.

• Meet all Lead Teacher qualifications, including but not limited to:

• Documentation of High School diploma or equivalent.

• At least 18 months experience with children in a group setting, or at least 6 months experience and 12 credit hours in early childhood education.

• Establish routes, schedules and procedures with the school director to maximize safety of children.

• Adhere to the established schedule to the best of your ability.

• Observe all Department of Motor Vehicle rules and regulations and make sure all speed limits are observed.

• Complete a daily inspection of the bus, a weekly inspection of tires, oil, blades, etc. and report all bus maintenance issues to the Director.

• Insure there is an adequate amount of fuel to complete the trip.

• Ensure all state mandated items are present and in good working order.

• Passenger Log forms should be completed as children arrive and depart the bus.

• Keep the bus litter free and cleaned up after each bus run.

• Ensure the safety of the children at all times.

• Meet and maintain all state licensing requirements/qualifications and comply with all CNI Policies and Procedures at all times.

• Attend all staff trainings and pursue professional training when available.

• Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including scheduled working hours and assignments.

• Assist in other areas as requested by management.

• Be able to properly/safely lift amounts in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures of the department assigned.

• Maintain a professional relationship with all personnel and business related associates.

Responsibilities

Child Care Workers are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. They must monitor the children all day to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner. Some of their typical duties include:

• Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary

• Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day

• Preparing meals and snacks for the kids

• Organizing activities and developing curriculum for older children

• Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day.

• Keeping records of each child's progress, interests and any problems that may occur

• Maintaining contact with the children's parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency
