Position summary: Project team member responsible for assisting with: (1) providing project design and construction administration support, (2) using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute assignments with limited supervision, (3) providing support to other team members, and (4) other tasks as may be assigned by the Project Manager/Supervisor. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate management of project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines

  • Attend various meetings, record, and distribute meeting minutes

  • Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure project completion by the defined milestones and established quality guidelines

  • Aid with preparing construction cost budgets and estimates

  • Compile contract plans, specifications, and estimates of engineering documents for advertisement and bidding activities

  • Read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, testing and inspection reports, maps, aerial photography, topographical surveys

  • Assist in clarifying and interpreting the intent and scope of the Construction Documents

  • Maintain a tracking system for project construction records (Submittals, RFI's, ESI's / ASI's, PCO's)

  • Review and take appropriate action with Contractor's submittals and RFI's

  • Coordinate with design team to respond to Contractor's submittals and RFI's

  • Assist in responding to Contractor's inquiries and questions and provide supplemental information as appropriate

  • Aid in the review of the Contractor's requests for change orders

  • Support review of Contractor's guarantees and warranties

  • Assemble and distribute the official punchlist(s)

  • Assist in reviewing Contractor's record drawings, O&M instructions, and all other close-out documentation

Required Experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
