This position installs C-130 hyrdaulic systems, flight control and landing gear systems and identifies issues for repair.
Essential Functions:
Must poccess a strong understanding of the Air Force Technical Order system.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the C-130 hydraulic, flight control and landing gear systems.
Must be able to climb, including ladders, stairs, and portable stands and navigate these without assistance.
Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odor, and dust.
Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Have environmental/mechanical experience with: C-130, or other relevant aircraft.

Must be willing to work the required OT to meet aircraft delivery schedules.

Process Inspectors works within established proecedures to perform a wide variety of highly complex inspection and quality assurance tasks to produce high-quality products. Typical tasks include but are not limited to:
60% - Composite Manufacturing Inspection Process and Quality Facilitation
Use CMM and other precision inspection techniques to inspect products, processes and procured items to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Develop and execute audit plans to assure the processes are being followed, equipment is being maintained and calibrated and materials meet all requirements including shelf life.
Oversee various operations at once, ensuring process standardization via Process Variation Management including data collection, data interpretation and presentation to determine if processes are in control.
Work with the operations team to ensure products meet specifications and schedule requirements. Coordinate with the Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers in operations to troubleshoot and recommend solutions for problems.
Oversee and train on the use of various measuring devices; accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems; work with diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, etc.; work from blueprints, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists; monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures; inspect customer-owned materials, hardware, etc. for compliance to specifications, drawings, workmanship standards and to the customer's contract or purchase order.

Evaluate various similar processes within the shop and create standardized inspection methods and criteria to minimize error, mistake-proof processes and define standard work.
Provide assistance in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process, collect data, conduct and oversee training, and/or assist in research work, exercising judgment to identify and recommend solutions where errors may be very difficult to detect and require significant expenditures to resolve.
Troubleshoot processes and identify, modify and/or escalate out of control processes and production escapes.
15% - Facility Support
Coordinate with maintenance, supervision and/or operations team in the set-up and calibration of equipment and tooling. Ensure that the calibrated items process is being followed and conduct periodic audits of facility areas.
Participate in preventative maintenance activities.

Thorough knowledge and full understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing systems (GD&T) strongly desired.

Responsibilities include coordination of engineering organization resource deployment, determination of SDACS engineering organization structure to meet program goals in an R&D environment, working with the program office to ensure accurate resource demands, integration of resources into the program, monitoring status of Technical Performance Measures, creation and execution of a Design and Development Plan, and execution of the Engineering Review Board processes. The Chief Engineer represents Engineering within the program management team, leads the Engineering Systems Integration Team, chairs the Engineering Review Board, and serves as the technical interface with external customers. This position ensures appropriate application of Engineering standard work and performance and quality of product requirements for all phases of the program from design analysis & definition, requirements verification, assembly and to post-delivery product support efforts.

We seek a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Summer 2024 in Huntsville, Alabama.
After orientation and training, interns will perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects. Interns will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company projects. Interns must be able to operate effectively in a team environment.

Job Description:
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance digital hardware systems. Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints prior to performing the preliminary and detailed phases of the circuit card design lifecycle. Upon completion of the design, expected to support manufacturing prior to performing the testing and formal sell off. Able to support the full lifecycle of the product, including environmental testing, qualification, and production.
Essential Functions:
Leads various design activities for new/existing products, predominantly involving an FPGA or Processor, and numerous high speed interfaces.
Applies complex electrical engineering principles and techniques to lead design, development, documentation, verification, and manufacturing debug activities.
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Analyzes environment/component tolerances to identify corner cases and ensure sufficient design margin for all applicable conditions.
Directly interfaces with members of the product development team to produce high quality/dependable products. Members impacted by electrical design include Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Software Engineering, Verification Engineering, other engineering, PWB Design, and Management teams.
Directly interfaces with Component Engineering, Purchasing, and Program Management to formulate effective obsolescence/cost/lead time mitigation solutions.
Completes conceptual designs and trade studies to support marketing/bid/proposal efforts. Draws on extensive product knowledge to define design re-use in potential new products and assess the feasibility of meeting new requirements.
Assists in the evaluation of supplier capabilities to provide products or services. May be involved in generating the SOWs/specifications for subcontracted items and approving third party deliverables (technical input and oversight).
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Performs difficult and complex research and/or development assignments. Decisions and recommendations have a moderate effect on division performance.
Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Develop collaborative relationships with Engineering Managers and Program Leadership to support business demands
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related electrical engineering experience.
5+ years experience with circuit card design processes including requirements generation, preliminary design (block diagram generation, long lead part identification), detailed design (schematic generation, simulation, support to PCB designer during place & route), test plan generation, and integration & test
Experience operating electronics laboratory equipment including: digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes (DSO, Mixed Signal), signal generators, DC power supplies, etc.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Current TS/SCI clearance
Experience leading teams to design Digital CCAs (Technical, Cost, & Schedule)
Experience with signal integrity analysis tools (Hyperlynx preferred)
Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite
Experience with Electro-optics
Experience with high speed serial protocols
10/25 Gb Ethernet, PCI Express Gen 2/3, Fibre Channel, among other high speed standards
Experience with high speed memory interfaces
Has the ability to lead teams through conflict, clarify objectives, and develop consensus/buy-in as required.
Experience integrating with firmware/software and leading lab integration activities
Experience with testing and qualification of the deliverable system
