Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance digital hardware systems. Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints prior to performing the preliminary and detailed phases of the circuit card design lifecycle. Upon completion of the design, expected to support manufacturing prior to performing the testing and formal sell off. Able to support the full lifecycle of the product, including environmental testing, qualification, and production.
Essential Functions:
Leads various design activities for new/existing products, predominantly involving an FPGA or Processor, and numerous high speed interfaces.
Applies complex electrical engineering principles and techniques to lead design, development, documentation, verification, and manufacturing debug activities.
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Analyzes environment/component tolerances to identify corner cases and ensure sufficient design margin for all applicable conditions.
Directly interfaces with members of the product development team to produce high quality/dependable products. Members impacted by electrical design include Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Software Engineering, Verification Engineering, other engineering, PWB Design, and Management teams.
Directly interfaces with Component Engineering, Purchasing, and Program Management to formulate effective obsolescence/cost/lead time mitigation solutions.
Completes conceptual designs and trade studies to support marketing/bid/proposal efforts. Draws on extensive product knowledge to define design re-use in potential new products and assess the feasibility of meeting new requirements.
Assists in the evaluation of supplier capabilities to provide products or services. May be involved in generating the SOWs/specifications for subcontracted items and approving third party deliverables (technical input and oversight).
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Performs difficult and complex research and/or development assignments. Decisions and recommendations have a moderate effect on division performance.
Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Develop collaborative relationships with Engineering Managers and Program Leadership to support business demands
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related electrical engineering experience.
5+ years experience with circuit card design processes including requirements generation, preliminary design (block diagram generation, long lead part identification), detailed design (schematic generation, simulation, support to PCB designer during place & route), test plan generation, and integration & test
Experience operating electronics laboratory equipment including: digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes (DSO, Mixed Signal), signal generators, DC power supplies, etc.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Current TS/SCI clearance
Experience leading teams to design Digital CCAs (Technical, Cost, & Schedule)
Experience with signal integrity analysis tools (Hyperlynx preferred)
Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite

10/25 Gb Ethernet, PCI Express Gen 2/3, Fibre Channel, among other high speed standards

This technician position will perform duties for L3Harris on the eastern side of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The technician duties can include installation, setup, end-to-end system alignment, testing and fault diagnosis during implementation and on operationalLand Mobile Radio (LMR) radio networks (P25, Conventional technologies), with the aid of PC-based programs, schematics and other drawings.

Essential Functions
75% Environmental, Health and Safety
Supporting and facilitating the implementation of an effective EHS management system that will ensure ongoing compliance towards L3Harris EHS standards and regulatory compliance, while improving site EHS culture. The EHS member will actively collaborate and participate with the EHS team to provide EHS project technical support and coordinate activities and processes across the site.
Coordinating, or supporting critical EHS projects and/or programs including but not limited to: Ergonomics; Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Personal Protective Equipment Program (PPE); Hazard Communication; Regulated/Hazardous Waste Management; Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP); minor source Air Permit; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC); Sustainability.
Driving the sustainability program by establishing best practices, communicating changes, tracking and measuring effectiveness and reductions in Solid Waste, Water, and Electrical reductions/increases.
Supporting incident investigations, determining root causes, developing corrective actions, preparing EHS alerts, and conducting closure verification activities.
Supporting EHS inspections, self-assessments, and audits for both environmental and health and safety compliance.
Assisting with various types of sampling for both environmental and human exposure purposes (including associated analytical interpretation and report-writing).
Coordinating risk assessments and working to deploy corrective measures to continuously reduce site hazard risk profile.
25% Industrial Security
Assist the Facility Security Officer in the day to day management of the Industrial Security program
Delivers required annual training based on NISPOM Rule to cleared employees.
Ensure proper processing of incoming and outgoing visit certifications
Utilizes and updates the Security Information Management System (SIMS) to ensure accuracy
Prepare, maintain and protect official records auditable by U.S. Government representatives.
Utilizes and ensure updates to the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
Manage access of support vendors, consultants, and contactors to the facility.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field
At least 3 years of EHS program experience with an emphasis on Environmental and Sustainability
At least 3 years of experience in a related Industrial Security and/or Operations Security field
Familiar with OSHA Standards for General Industry (i.e., Fall Protection, Hazard Communication) required AND/OR familiar with EPA and Florida environmental regulations and permits required (i.e., SPCC, SWPPP, air permit/emissions, waste
Familiar with sustainability principles and application
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal
Demonstrated computer skills, including but not limited to MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred

L3Harris A erojet Rocketdyne Cape Canaveral, FL is looking for a Systems Test Technician for it's Orlando, FL and Cape Canaveral, FL locations.
At these locations, L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne produces high fidelity one, two and three stage target rockets.
Using technical procedures, process plans and complex mechanical and electrical drawings, technicians perform rigging and final assembly of the launch vehicle and test support equipment, participate in system level testing, test and install explosive devices, and assist Test Engineers in launching these target rockets to support interceptor testing. Launches are executed from U.S. military aircraft and are typically performed outside of the continental U.S. (OCONUS). Aircrew positions on the airborne launch team are required.
Mission planning, training, engineering development, administrative duties, system level testing, launch vehicle assembly, and integration with the launch aircraft being performed at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.

Essential Functions
50% - Participating in booster build and integration, pre-launch parachute packing and rigging, pneumatics and hydraulic system setup, system level integration & testing, data review, troubleshooting and corrective action.
15% - Training in both company processes, launch vehicle systems and related test engineering tasks.
15% - Assisting in aircraft integration and launch operations.
10% - Authoring and/or assisting test engineers in the development of test plans and procedures.

Requirements
Requires an Associate's technical degree.
Must have a current ( active within 2 years ) U.S. Security Clearance at the secret level with COMSEC (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Required flight duty .Must be able to obtain an FAA Class III (or higher) medical certificate (this is a condition of employment). Must be able to meet USAF Aerospace Physiological standards, satisfactorily complete the associated training, and willing to perform launch duties aboard USAF aircraft.
Additional Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
Must satisfactorily complete safety training for handling, testing, and installation of explosive devices. Environmental testing and/or instrumentation experience is a plus.
Must be willing and able to travel inside and outside of the continental U.S.
Must have experience or possess a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Must be able to operate basic electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, etc.
Must be capable of learning the operation and maintenance of specialized support and launch equipment used for system level operations and troubleshooting.
Must be able to complete an ESD training class and practice prevention methods.
Must possess basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Working knowledge of CREO a plus.
Must be willing to work occasional overtime and weekends to meet critical schedule dates.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
Experience with solid propellant rocket motors is desirable. Excellent mechanical skills and experience reading and following complex technical drawings, procedures, and checklists is a must.
Previous military or civilian experience as an FAA certified Airframe and Power Plant mechanic is highly desirable.
Experience coordinating and participating in heavy lift operations and rigging involving bridge and mobile cranes.
Experience packing parachutes and rigging heavy air drop loads is desired.
Experience with airfield operations is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred.
Additional Considered Qualifications:
Experienced with RF networks.
Experience in PCM based telemetry systems.
Familiarity with telemetry systems used for collection of launch vehicle data during testing.
Familiarity with telemetry systems consisting of encoders, transmitters, encryptors, and decommutators.
Ability to implement telemetry PCM encoder and decommutator databases for telemetry systems.
Familiarity with data post-processing using tools developed in C/C++.
Familiarity with software programming in C/C++ and scripting languages.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions). Job Overview
Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Procurement Analyst (Buyer) for our facility in Huntsville, AL.
Performs procurement activities that range from Preliminary Contract Award, Pre-Contact Award, and Post Contract and Supplier relations. Requires in-depth working knowledge and application of procurement concepts, practices, and techniques. Typical responsibilities include:
Issue and manage request for quotes (RFQ) to suppliers for new procurement efforts
Monitoring supplier performance through use of internal production/manufacturing schedules
Work directly with the Price Cost Analysis team
Selecting payment type.
Conducting informal negotiations, which may lead to a written contract.
Issuing contract modifications.
Work directly with program team members to determine the supplier that would best support program and customer needs
Manage each contract award to maintain delivery schedule and work directly with the supplier to mitigate any risk to schedule.
May issue Firm Fixed Price, Time, Material and Labor Hour purchase orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements, Service Agreements and Cost type contacts.

Essential Functions
Working under limited general direction:
60% - Handles fundamental procurement activities including acquisition of materials, components and services at realistic and competitive prices, which meet schedule, safety and quality standards.
20% - Performs price/cost analysis.
20% - Provides proposal support.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and three (3) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Must be familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or (DFAR), codes and procedures pertaining to procurement and contractual agreements, as well as principles and practices of purchasing.
Must have Buyer experience within DoD environment
Knowledge of procurement documentation, methods and techniques utilized in determining and analyzing the quality of equipment, materials, services and supplies.
Knowledge of methods of invoicing, including shipping and handling charges, discounts and taxes.
Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable purchasing policies and procedures.
Ability to conduct price analysis and simple proposal evaluations.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
