LabCorp seeking a Service Representative/Courier to join our team in Amherst, NY. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.

Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.

Pay Range: $15.15-$16.37

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am-- 6:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups

• Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner

• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift

• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner

• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws

• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up

• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed

• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred

• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

• Must be at least 21 years' old

• Previous driver/courier experience is preferred

• Customer service experience is a plus

• Very punctual with strong time management skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to problem solve customer issues

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted

Integrated Oncology, a LabCorp Specialty Testing Group, provides reference anatomic pathology, hematopathology and molecular pathology testing services to hospitals, health systems and independent oncology practices. Integrated Oncology is focused on providing world class solutions to better the lives of patients living with cancer.

This schedule for this position will be: 1st shift, Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

• Perform PCR based molecular oncology testing in accordance with standard operating procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of various types of cancer.

• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.

• Utilize a wide array of instrumentation, including NextSeqs, Tecan, Quantstudio7, and ABI 7900 instruments, performing quality control and calibrations, as required.

• Accurately enter results of testing. Review reports to ensure accurate test result reporting in preparation for review by a Director / Pathologist.

• Recognize problems and initiate troubleshooting steps to evaluate testing failures and other problems.

Requirements :

• Bachelors Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Science is required.

• Previous experience is not required at the Technologist Trainee level.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus.

• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.

• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in New Hartford, NY . The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Pay Range: $15 - $23.43 + 2nd shift

Work Schedule: Your planned work schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:00p.m. - 11:00pm (afternoon/night shift). Saturdays as needed. The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management

Job Responsibilities:

• Introduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing

• Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing

• Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted

• Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes

• Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results

• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required

• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples

• Resolve and document any problem specimens

• Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste

• Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures

• Operate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• No relevant experience is required

• Previous medical or production experience is preferred

• Proficient computer and typing skills

• Must pass standardized color vision test

• Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time

• Strong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work overtime when needed

• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
