Job Description

Title: FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS CLERK (OA) RPT Location: United States-Guam-Hagatna Other Locations: United States-Guam-Hagatna Job Number: 220000M2 Job Summary: Performs a variety of clerical administrative and typing duties in connection with the maintenance and control of food service merchandise operations. Duties and Responsibilities: As required forecasts Department payroll at the beginning of each accounting month of each locationbranches and for the department as a whole. Maintains associates personnel payroll records on a current basis which includes data relating to pay changes affecting associates monies taking into consideration the effect such pay changes leave planned overtime pending terminations etc. have on the final estimate. Contacts local vendors by telephone and obtains daily prices of meat fish staples and various groceries based on the list provided indicating items and quantities needed. Orders same based on the most advantageous and economical prices obtained. Maintains uptodate price list of items. Checks extensions on pruchases for designated locationsbranches and posts data to appropriate logs and ledgers. Verifies balances with computer printout sheets issued periodically. Maintains files of Receipts of Goods Received Merchandise Transfers price change bulletins as well as other files relating to the office functions. As instructed compiles periodic and special reports based on reords maintained andor data collected also prepares merchandise transfers as necessary based on specific information supplied. Maintains in current status Stock Control Records for the Food Service Department. Posts withdrawals from warehouse by merchandise transfers posts Receipts of Goods Received RGRs as well as goods returned to warehouse from locationsbranches. Posts retail price changes and notifies all locationsbranches of such changes. Insures maintenance of adequate stock levels by computing appropriate stock sales ratios based on established procedures and posts to cards. As required assists in taking inventory. Maintains complete continuity of all K4 operations including any associate problems in the absence of the Food Service Manager. Attends Department Head Meetings as directed. Processes all K4 Payroll Time Cards computes hours of work or leave and posts same to card. Determines associates entitlements to regular hours overtime pay premium pay night differential holiday pay and leave entitlement. Signs all time cards for approval of payment. Conducts monthly check to insure agreement between Warehouse Book inventory balances and actual physical inventory posts information in appropriate record book. Types a variety of correspondence and reports in connection with food service operations. Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor. Carries out regularly assigned duties independently in accordance with established routine procedures. Unusual or difficult problems are referred to supervisor for guidance and assistance. Work is reviewed by spot check for overall adequacy and accuracy. Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE 1 year progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE 1 year progressively responsible experience performing clerical or administrative support duties or experience in a related area which demonstrates the ability to perform the work of the position. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE 12 year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of 1 year of general and 1 year specialized.
