Job Summary

Manages nuclear station warehouse management activities, and ensures compliance with 10CFR50 App B, Dominion Topical Quality Report, and Supply Chain Management policies and procedures. Supervises storekeepers. Directs and controls receipt, storage, issuance, and return of materials of both commercial and quality Safety Related Parts. This may include investigating and resolving discrepant shipments, invoice discrepancies, and performing corrective actions in the Corrective Action Program. Interacts with SCM Generation Director, Managers, and peers at other stations, to ensure implementation of warehousing and inventory strategies. Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies. Manages foreign material exclusion, shelf life, in-storage maintenance, and inventory cycle count programs. In the absence of the Supply Chain Manager, provides onsite direction and interaction with Senior Station management on Supply Chain Management issues. Interacts with station personnel, to improve customer service and resolve any issues. Assesses training levels, develops training, and performs training in materials management methodologies and processes. Performs required work observations, self-assessments, and quarterly detailed inspections of warehouse facilities, to ensure adherence to procedures. Interacts with internal and external auditors on all inventory and regulatory issues. Implements procedures, processes, and controls to ensure Sarbannes-Oxley compliance. Performs general supervisory duties, including procedure development, work schedule development, budget preparation, and goal development.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 8 - 10 years related experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear warehousing procedures and methodologies, including industry guidelines and standards (such as ASME, EPRI and INPO).

  • In-depth knowledge of related company policies, procedures, and standards typically gained from extensive related work experience.

  • Full knowledge of computer applications and systems (i.e. SAP, Word, and Excel).

  • Full knowledge in the Nuclear Station Work Management process and Maintenance programs.

  • Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements (10CFR50 App B, Dominion Topical Quality Report, NQA-1-1994, and Regulatory Guides), and nuclear safety classifications codes and standards.

  • General knowledge of Supply Chain roles, objectives, and best practices.

  • Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and operations, concepts, and applications of power production. Knowledge of nuclear quality and oversight principles.

  • Knowledge of budgeting and planning process.

  • Leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage resources, including overtime.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer operations skills.

  • Planning and organization skills.

  • Ability to assimilate and integrate information for effective independent decision making.

  • Ability to identify and develop strategic and long term goals and objectives.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees and external personnel.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Business, Engineering, Materials Management

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Nuclear Plant AccessMay require Forklift qualifications every 3 yearsSix Sigma experience/certification preferred
