Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a ServiceNow System Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's needs. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand requirements, implement solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of ServiceNow services.
The ServiceNow System Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation and operation of the ServiceNow platform within an organization. By leveraging their technical expertise and understanding of business processes, they contribute to improving efficiency, streamlining operations, and delivering value to stakeholders across the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Configuration and Customization: Customize and configure ServiceNow applications according to business requirements. This includes creating custom forms, fields, workflows, and UI policies.
Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications within the organization's ecosystem. Implement and maintain integrations.
User Management: Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls within the ServiceNow platform. Ensure appropriate levels of access for different user groups.
Workflow Automation: Design and implement workflows to automate business processes within ServiceNow. Streamline workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
Incident and Problem Management: Configure and manage incident and problem management processes within ServiceNow. Ensure timely resolution of incidents and problems to minimize business impact.
Change Management: Implement and maintain change management processes within ServiceNow. Coordinate and track changes across the organization, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into ServiceNow usage and performance. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Platform Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and performance tuning to ensure the stability and reliability of the ServiceNow platform.
Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to end-users on ServiceNow functionality and best practices. Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with ServiceNow vendors and support teams to troubleshoot issues, escalate bugs, and request enhancements as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification preferred.
Proven experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications.
Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes and best practices.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
Experience with integration technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
