Audio Visual Engineering Technician IV - Colorado Springs, CO
This cleared AV Engineering Tech IV position will support the buildup and modernization of facilities across Colorado Springs by integrating Audio Visual systems in secure DoD environments.
In this role, you will:
Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design.
Development and implementation of technical products and systems.
Resolves highly complex technical issues.
Conducts advanced research.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Leads and directs the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
May report to an executive or a manager.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Possess an ACTIVE DoD Secret level security clearance
Education: high school diploma
Experience Requirements:
At least five years of AV systems installation experience
At least three years of experience managing teams of AV technicians/installers
At least three years of experience installing Thinklogical and Extron AV Matrix Routing and Extension Solutions
Demonstrate the ability to install per a SIPH standard IDP, adapt/troubleshoot/modify where necessary, and provide redlines back to an AutoCAD drafter for As-built updates
Resolve technical/physical issues often requiring coordination with other disciplines: networking, facilities, HVAC, electrical, security, etc.
Conduct and document PITCO and SOVT activities
InfoComm/AVIXA CTS-I Certification (Installation Specialization)
Knowledge of applicable OSHA safety standards
Physical Requirements:
May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces such as under raised floors.
Sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods of time.
Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standard officeenvironmental conditions.
Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to operate general office equipment,which includes telephone, copier, and PC/laptop.
Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
May require operating motor vehicles.
Schedule / Attendance:
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory
Position may require working night and weekend shifts
Report in accordance with policies for essential and non-essential personnel during inclement weather

Must have reliable transportation to Peterson Space Force Base

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $60,736.00 to $91,312.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
