If you want to work on a cutting edge Air Force program, Serco has a great part time opportunity for you! As a Senior Subsystems Engineer, you will be supporting the B-21 Strike Systems Division (AFLCMC/WBS) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Part time is approximately 1000 hours/year.
The B-21 Raider is the future backbone of the nation's bomber force, holding any target at risk and providing lethal penetrating deep-strike capability. You will be part of the DoD's benchmark acquisition team, providing bold and innovative solutions in aircraft subsystems by working with labs, the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office, the prime contractor, and subcontractors.
In this role, you will:
Utilize your expertise in research, design, development, integration, test, and sustainment of aircraft subsystems equipment and software
Employ knowledge of development, integration, and test of aircraft fuel, power, and landing gear subsystems
Utilize the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201
Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions
Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documents and reports
Support development and review of the full range of program documentation
Support requirements development, allocation, and verification
Develop technical and business data necessary to build and present program briefs
Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A SECRET security clearance with Background Investigation within the last six years or on Continuous Evaluation. Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) access and apply for a TOP SECRET clearance
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 10 years of experience in relevant DoD Acquisition programs
Five (5) years of experience developing and integrating aircraft subsystems onto low observable aircraft
Additional desired experience and skills:
TOP SECRET security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and background investigation current within the past six (6) years or on Continuous Evaluation
Master's Degree in engineering
Five (5) years in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) program
Two (2) years SAP experience accrued within the last four (4) years
