Waste Connections is looking to hire an Experienced Forklift Operator to work at our Transfer Station in Vancouver, Washington.
Rate of Pay is $20.00/HR starting and will increase to $21.50 after 90 day Probationary period. Hours are Monday - Friday 1:30Pm to 10:00Pm Overtime is available often. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, operates forklifts, front skid steer and Front end loaders. Also will have other duties including picking up garbage, cleaning machines, and directing traffic.
Operates various types of equipment for the site.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Loading recycle materials in a hopper
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
3+ Years' Experience in operating Forklifts.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Exposed to different weather year round.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 to 75 + pounds.
Ability to operate heavy equipment, skid steer and forklift safety.
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
