Cracker Barrel is on the search for our next Strategic Sourcing Coordinator to join the Food and Beverage team at our Strategic Sourcing Department!
In this role, you will support the Strategic Sourcing Dept.'s Mission Statement of ensuring our restaurants are continuously supplied with the specified products at the best cost. You will be responsible for assisting the Strategic Sourcing staff with updating and maintaining various purchasing/accounting systems, databases and spreadsheets; facilitating vendor communications, including monitoring due dates and timelines for Supply Agreements; ensuring that all new suppliers have GT&Cs in place; and working with buyers on identifying suppliers who need their information updated. To keep everything on track, you will ensure timely processing of Supply Agreements and pricing changes. You will also act as a liaison between the Strategic Sourcing Department, Suppliers, Quality Assurance and Product Development. You will support the team by providing administrative support, performing clerical duties and handling all general office management responsibilities.
Specialized Departmental Support
Entry point of all food & beverage pricing and contractual agreements. Maintains accuracy and integrity of the foundational elements of the department (PMTS, FACS, Infinium and IDS). Maintains all Pricing Compliance through the use of PMTS. Works with Facilities on updating them on cost and program changes. Assists Buyers in securing product samples. Creates PO'S as directed by departmental SRS's. Assists with coordinating coverage when other Coordinators are out of the office.
Vendor Communication
Primary liaison to key supplier and distributors on all pricing, test items, promotional items, new items, new suppliers and current supplier specification changes. Communicates new prices and resolves pricing discrepancy issues. First point of contact for new suppliers requesting a meeting with a buyer. Responsible for sending out final Supply Agreements and keeping buyers appraised of status of finalized agreements. Responsible for maintaining and distributing spreadsheets quantifying costs and lead times of potential Equipment and Supplies for seasonal promotions.
Provides Administrative Support
Support team of Director and Buyers by supporting promotional activities, capturing commodity data, preparing portions of RFP's, GT&C's and preparing portions of Supply Agreements while providing some information for Strategies.
Store Support
Manages telephone calls for the Strategic Sourcing department. Provides customer service to stores regarding Strategic Equipment, Ops 50 items, and PFG items. Maintains appropriate paperwork to keep department current.
Other Duties as Assigned
Works with Director and Buyers on special projects, business cases or margin projects as the need arises.
College degree or 3-4 years experience in Purchasing or Distribution environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
