Job Description
Position Overview: As a Training Ambassador at GNC, your primary responsibility is to facilitate and deliver training to new and existing employees. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all employees receive proper training to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. You will work closely with the Sr. Training & Safety specialist and leaders to develop and implement training strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing employees on various topics, including safety protocols, equipment operation, inventory management, order fulfillment, and other relevant procedures and policies.
Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process by providing new hires with an overview of the distribution center's operations, policies, and procedures. Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.
Training Needs Assessment: Identify training needs by conducting regular assessments and gathering feedback from employees, supervisors, and management.
Training Documentation: Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, training completion, and evaluation results. Prepare reports on training activities, progress, and effectiveness.
Performance Support: Provide ongoing support to employees by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance related to training materials and procedures. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any training-related issues that may arise.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in distribution center operations. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance training programs and incorporate innovative approaches to improve training effectiveness.
Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, team leaders, and managers to understand specific training needs and ensure training programs align with departmental goals and objectives.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all training activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices among employees.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in training delivery, preferably in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge of distribution center operations, including safety protocols, inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using training software, learning management systems, and multimedia tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple training sessions and priorities simultaneously.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining training records and documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing training needs and work schedules, including occasional weekends or evenings.
