As an Electrical Systems Planner you will be on a team that is responsible for the planning yard and life-cycle maintenance for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) new Multi Mission Surface Combatants (MMSC).
This position is contigent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret DoD level clearance pre-employment.
You will potentially work with engineers and clients from around the world, so bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards the readiness of an international client's maritime defense. Serco supports the RSNF as a subcontractor on a commercial contract providing naval vessel life-cycle sustainment, including planning yard functions, maintenance, procurement services, and training.
Our management staff includes individuals with over 35 years of military and industry experience, including working with domestic and foreign defense and security customers. We welcome talent with skillsets acquired from commercial and defense activities.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for electrical system maintenance planning, estimating, and work package development for the RSNF MMSC.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MMSC electrical systems as required for the development of related work items.
Verify work item technical manual references.
Communicate with maintenance personnel, project management, and procurement specialists.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external organizations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Electrical Systems Maintenance Planning.
You must have the ability to obtain an interim Secret DoD level clearance pre-employment.
United States (U.S.) citizenship.
Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
Additional desired experience and skills:
Engineering Bachelor's Degree
Background in USN maintenance procedures and nomenclature
Familiarity with planning yards and shipyards
