Job Description
HII MissionTechnologies is looking for a Cloud Security Intern. The ideal candidate has completed their freshmen year at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Candidate will work in a fast paced, mission focused environment, maintaining and updating systems security and and cloud security plans.
Co-Op / Interns typically represent college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Under direct supervision, performs various tasks and assignments for the organization's professional staff in such disciplines as Engineering, Software Development, Database Management, Security Threat Analysis.
Duties:
Gaining familiarity with Python and Bash scripting for development of product features
Troubleshooting customer reported issues in applications and providing support
Engage in quality assurance testing
Requirement:
Pursing a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Familiarity with Python 2.7+ development and JAVA
Familiarity with Git and/or Jira or other version control and issue tracking software
Comfortable working on a Linux command line
Self-motivated - a strong desire to find and address gaps in execution or capability without explicit direction
Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues/ tickets accordingly
Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
A government security clearance is not required to apply but candidate must be able to obtain a clearance upon hire. U.S citizenship is required.
