Are you in search of a full time opportunity that will provide great reward in San Diego, CA? Serco's Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) business unit may be the place for you! We employ a team of Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) experts based out of San Diego, CA.

This position will require an active DoD Secret level cleaance at the beginining of employment.

Our mission is to provide our nation's sailors with access to cutting edge technology by providing troubleshooting and repair of unmanned systems as well as research and development (R&D), prototype integration, and testing and evaluation (T&E) services in maritime environments with testing in harbors and offshore areas in the Pacific Ocean. This opportunity will be located onsite the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC).

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and track the distribution of parts and components in support of customer requirements.

  • Create and manage database management tools, such as MS Access or Navy programs, such as CDMD-OA and OMMS-NG.

  • Receive inbound materials and updates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases containing tracking information to include pricing and part numbers.

  • Populate required DoD documentation for shipping & receiving activities.

  • Coordinate with NIWC PAC for inbound and outbound shipment planning.

  • Facilitate final delivery to end user customers at NIWC PAC facilities.

  • Prepare related reports and documentation per NIWC PAC customer request.

  • Responsible for managing an offsite warehouse and tracking movement of inventory.

  • Verify shipping records on incoming and outgoing shipments with bills, invoices, or other records.

  • Verify materials received are as ordered in relation to quantity and part number.

  • Prepare all necessary shipment documentation, such as: Bill of Ladings, Pallet Labels, 1149s and Packing Lists.

  • Collect data metrics for order dates, lead time, and delivery.

  • Work cooperatively with cross functional teams on daily activities.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and 2-4 Years of relevant experience (In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by-market survey data.)

  • An active DoD Secret level clearance at the begininng of employment is required.

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience managing the distribution of parts and components in support of customer requirements.

  • 2 years demonstrated experience creating and managing database management tools, such as MS Access or Navy programs, such as CDMD-OA and OMMS-NG.

  • Proficient with MS Office products.
