Position Summary: Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that the bridge is inspected and that the inspection reports is prepared in conformance with the requirements per NYSDOT Specification. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Lead inspection team and coordinate teams and equipment
Prepare in-office support for field inspection
Perform field measurements, evaluate existing conditions and document finding in the field
Writing the technical inspection reports
Preparation of analysis and ratings for the structure in question
Perform calculations including ratings
Development of recommended construction documents for repairs of field condition requiring interim repair (i.e. flagged conditions)
Required Skills
New York State PE License
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
FHWA/NHI or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Certification
Required Experience
NYS License PE
Must possess an Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Have at least 3 years of bridge experience in design, construction, inspection or other bridge engineering related work
Active driver's license
Client requested certifications preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
