What We're Looking For
Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary engineering curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Working with the Roadway Team to learn and gain experience on Project Management, Planning, Design, Construction Observation on a variety of Transportation Engineering Projects and Road Bond Programs.
Learn basic engineering process and application of critical thinking to develop engineering and detailing skills.
Perform rotation with other departments as allowed to gain multi-disciplinary perspective on delivering engineering services.
Engineering Intern
Learn how to apply first principle thinking
Perform engineering calculations
Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
Assist other engineers in various tasks and duties
Perform project inspections
Provide inspection work to monitor engineering plans and specifications
Keep daily diaries of inspections
Learn how to manage client requirements and expectations
Coordinate work efforts with others
Assist in development of water resources reports
Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
