Electronics Maintenance Technician II (SCA: 23182)
KBR is looking to add an Electronics Maintenance Technician II to our team at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Patuxent River, MD. As part of the KBR team at the NAS Electromagnetic Compatibility Test and Evaluation Branch, you'll directly impact maintaining the United States' air and sea superiority.
In this role, you'll test the performance of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) on various aircraft platforms, support equipment, and weapons systems to determine their EMI susceptibility and protection with the NAVAIR AD6220M Electromagnetic Compatibility Branch.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM
Typical Responsibilities
A successful candidate would be expected to provide administrative or secretarial support to a department and/or Manager.
Applying E3 engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.
Reviewing, analyzing, developing, preparing, or applying E3 engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.
Organizing, analyzing, and preparing reports or presentations of technical data and information.
Planning and performing E3 tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiling, processing, reducing, or analyzing E3 test data results.
Under direct supervision, works to perform defined tasks according to procedures and established practices.
Due to contract requirements, to be considered, you must meet the following basic requirements:
Education
High School diploma or GED
Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
Experience
At least four (4) years of experience performing engineering technician functions.
At least 1 year of experience performing engineering/technical functions in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects.

Strong attention to detail
Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
Skilled at prioritization and multitasking
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
