We are seeking a Full Time Outpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner to support our team at the HOA Cancer Center!
You now have the opportunity to join ProMedica Hematology/Oncology Physicians, known as HOA Cancer Center; a team of committed, highly trained, enthusiastic professionals This well-established, busy and successful practice has served the needs of the community for many years. Established in 1954, the practice has a reputation for providing patients with superior, comprehensive care with a personal touch. The practice base is located on the campus of ProMedica Flower Hospital, located in Sylvania, Ohio (a suburb of Toledo). The outpatient role will primarily support our North region teams. One position is primarily dedicated to Adrian and the other position is primarily dedicated to Monroe.

Core Duties:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments on cancer patients, including physical examinations and review of medical history.
Collaborate with oncologists on the care and management of oncology patients
Manage cancer-related symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, and treatment side effects.
Prescribe medications and therapies to alleviate symptoms and improve the patient's quality of life.
Provide education on treatment plans as well as provide emotional support and counseling to help patients cope with the psychological aspects of cancer and cancer treatment
Facilitate communication and coordination among healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in tele-visits as needed and as appropriate.
Support research on cancer to improve treatment formalities apportioned to cancer patients
Provide helpful resources on the patient and families to enhance positive results
Incorporate patients and their families in the treatment plan, procedures and possible outcomes.
Document care provided on patients including reactions to medication and treatment
Support the team through participation in call and inpt weekend rounds on a rotational basis.'

Job Requirements
NP or PA.
Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio and Michigan
Oncology experience preferred
Certificate of Authority to practice is required.
Current CPR certification required.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment toward achieving customer/patient satisfaction.
