Job Description
KBR is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer with strong experience on current Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and DoD software systems if possible. This candidate will provide direct support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) to help develop Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) strategies, implement and develop MBSE models, and support execution of Digital Engineering objectives and goals.
KBR is seeking to hire a Agile Coach for the Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES) program to
Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to perform requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration, and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements under supervision of the lead systems engineer
Analyze existing and approved system requirements documentation for rapid software acquisition pathway
Use requirements analysis to create and maintain the Government Reference Architecture (GRA) in Cameo SysML
Modify and update system models on a regular basis to reflect current acquisition strategies, technical designs, and system decisions, and define use cases, activities, and system behaviors.
Produce and deliver MBSE models as supplements to system programmatic documentation including the and others as needed.
Develop system, architecture, and interface definitions of complex systems in an MBSE environment as needed
Support effective transition of existing systems engineering and technical data packages (TDPs) from traditional document-based processes to reusable model-based artifacts
Support management of models and derived work products consistent with project configuration and data management processes and standards.
Conduct walkthroughs and formal reviews of system requirements and architecture models developed using Cameo SysML and MBSE processes
Applying SysML to Systems Engineering efforts and working with modern SysML tools.
Perform detailed technical analyses for a subsystem or system elements
Collaborate with systems engineering leads as well as domain and discipline subject matter experts (SMEs) to tailor MBSE to project scope and cost and schedule constraints.
Translate processes from traditional document-based system engineering efforts to delivery of model-based work products to customers
Train others on MBSE concepts and Cameo tools
Required Education/Experience
Systems Engineering lifecycle experience
MS Degree in STEM with 1+ years of directly related experience Or BS degree with 2+ years of directly related experience
Experience in Cameo SysML Modeling (or comparable environment) to develop models of system requirements, architecture/design, and/or interfaces.
DoD Clearance Requirement: Top Secret with ability to gain SCI
- US citizen
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
DoD software systems engineering experience
Familiarity or greater with Modeling and Simulation environments and analysis
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, especially Siemen's Team Center
MS Degree in STEM with 1+ years of directly related experience Or BS degree with 2+ years of directly related experience
Experience with DevSecOps
