Program Summary
As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled U.S. Army training exercises. KBR's LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations.
Job Summary
KBR is seeking a Food Service Warehouseman for a temporary position from May 15th to August 20th, 2024. Based in Fort Knox, Kentucky, this role requires a commitment of at least 70 hours per week. As a Food Service Warehouseman, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of military dining facilities by receiving, checking in, and issuing food store items.
Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain inventories while adhering to procedures such as FIFO and proper storage practices.
Handle menu planning.
Issue rations on DA 3161 forms.
Establish document files, prepare required documents and reports, and ensure the proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all food service items.
Perform daily tasks which may involve coordinating material and equipment movement, setting up work sites, and performing cleanup activities.
Manage shelf-life material effectively.
Issue material upon request, staging, and/or delivering to designated areas.
Adhere to prescribed inventory/storage methods and property handling procedures.
Store, stack, or palletize rations and materials in accordance with procedures.
Complete Cost, No Cost, and Production Transfers.
Adhere to KBR and customer safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Operate company provided vehicles to include large box trucks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be required to operate in and provide service in austere locations.
Work 70 hours per week.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Must have knowledge of Temperature Measuring Devices (TMD) and experience receiving rations via Class 1 trucks.
Requires a working knowledge of relevant publications, including DA PAM 30-22 and FM 10-23.
Must be familiar with Military (Tri-Service Food Code/TB Med 530) regulations and policies governing food storage.
Requires experience in receiving rations and materials against receiving documents.
Must possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe certificate.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a food service medical clearance.
Must be able to pass a Military Background Check for access to military installations.
Must be authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Requires a valid driver's license.
Requires moderate to heavy lifting (50-75 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Experience in Class 1 yard operations.
Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts (material handling equipment).
