Title: MARKET RESEARCH SPECIALIST Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 24000279 Job Summary: Organizes and executes market research analyzes results and produces written reports containing customer insights and recommendations for improving marketing programs. Duties and Responsibilities: - Organizes, executes, and manages an on-line customer research panel. Recruits panelists, develops and coordinates research questions, reports results, and administers incentive program. - Working with the VP of Marketing Insight and Market Analyst, develops and creates new on-line and paper surveys. Tests and fields surveys, generates reports and provides analysis of results. - Monitors, creates, and distributes reports from ongoing on-line survey and feedback vehicles such as a transaction-based customer survey. - Works closely with the e-commerce group to provide customer feedback and satisfaction metrics for the on-line store. - Receives and processes/scans survey forms for ongoing research programs including Navy Lodge, Uniforms, and Ship Store. Creates and distributes periodic reports. - Plans and executes CSI, ASI, Small Store CSI, and other surveys including tracking shipments, receiving finished surveys, analyzing data and providing reports. - Uses computer based statistical tools such as SPSS to conduct analysis of data from a variety of data sources and research projects as requested by management. - Performs other marketing and market research duties as assigned. Qualifications: Requires a total of 5 years of any combination of experience as indicated below: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience that was gained in administrative, marketing support and/or retail sales or other related responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain a knowledge of market research; skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships; and the ability to exercise mature judgement. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of education above the high school level may be substituted for nine months of experience, up to a maximum of a four-year degree in business, marketing, statistics, or social sciences for three years of general experience. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressive experience that provided a background in market research analysis that demonstrated the knowledge, skill and abilities required to preform the work requirements of the position (analysis of market practices, trends, market/customer surveys, etc.) Job: E-Commerce
