KBR is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to oversee work executed by contractors as a member of the Owners Team. This position will require the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, articulate the Program and Project vision for the work they oversee, and report within the Owners' organization.
We are looking for a seasoned professional with prior experience as a project controls manager that can interpret project data and focus teams on areas that may need improvement. Additionally having a strong understanding of risk management and ensuring Projects have developed and implemented mitigation plans.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate project health status and maintain effective communications with project leadership on project status
Ensure that project controls systems and processes are implemented and continue to deliver accurate project status
Assess project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address any specific needs
Review and audit cost, progress and schedule reports prepared for project controls
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in project management, project controls, engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
12 + years in project controls within the energy/petrochemical/industrial/refining/chemical industry
Management experience with capacity to coach, mentor, and share best practices
Proven ability with project health assessments, P6 and scheduling techniques, risk assessments, budget development, cost analysis, forecasting and variance reporting techniques
Must be able to manage analytical and data centric project controls
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to self-lead and communicate to all levels of project team
Preferred Certification:
Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
AACE Certification
Interest & ability to achieve these certifications beneficial
