APS-3: Technical Instructor

Reports directly to the APS-3 KBR COSIS Training department lead. Responsible for the coordination of APS-3 KBR, OSHA, HSE, and USG contract required training. The technical instructor will monitor and make arrangements regarding various training requirements for KBR personnel to assure compliance to regulatory and other requirements specified by KBR, OSHA, HSE, and USG requirements. The technical instructor arranges for a trainer, coordinates training dates, training location, training time, and targeted personnel. The technical instructor will also arrange for the required audio-visual resources needed to complete the training. The technical instructor will maintain the training records database including electronics and hard copy as needed or required. The technical instructor must be highly organized and be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization. He/she also must have good skills regarding various computers training software including excellent word processing skills.
Principal Responsibilities of Classification:
Performs duties IAW documented polices, procedures, work instructions and verbal guidance from Cosis Operations Manager.
Responsible for updating/maintaining training Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), reviews, drafts revisions and interim changes, processes proposed changes through Quality/Auditor Section to publishing on I-Drive.
Helps coordinate the various KBR APS-3 Employee Training activities, plans and schedules training events, coordinates for instructor and equipment support; internal training and training conducted by outside agencies such as colleges.
Assists instructors in preparation for training
Aggressively performs training record management IAW Record Control SOP APS-3 2706; monitors medical and training expiration, schedules medical clearance or re-training in advance of expiration.
Coordinates plans and schedules for off site and government sponsored Force Modern Equipment training.
Helps coordinate New Hire training event of all new employees, such as; -OPSEC- training and establishes and maintains the training file in training data base.
Maintains Employee Training and Instructor Database, updates as training is completed, and posts to I: Drive.
Issues employee Record of Operator Training, IAW SOP.
Prepares Instructor Certification letters at the request of Functional Area Managers for Quality Manager review and Program Manager approval.
Maintains employee training files (hard copy), files training records.
Performs administrative functions of Equipment Training Program.
Wharf PSA Member if required.
Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of the Cosis Operations Manager.
Education Required/Preferred:
Associate degree or (2) years equivalent work experience in related field
CDL or -Master Driver- required
Qualifications/Requirement:
US Citizen
Computer skills: excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, VISIO, Power Point and KBR APS-3 Employee Training Data Base.
Excellent multi-tasking skills, ability to perform to standard several time-sensitive tasks simultaneously, ability to prioritize work.
Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 Quality System preferred.
Working knowledge of military and industrial safety, security, training and physical security regulations and policies and OSHA regulations, 29 CRF.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, supervisors, leads, managers and customers.
Ability to work independently; sound and timely decision-making skills.
Valid state driver's license.
Operate government owned vehicles (sedan, club cart, small pick-up trucks).
Achieve Trustworthy Determination resulting from National Agency Check (Background Investigation) with waiver within thirty (30) days of hire.
Achieve medical clearance for respirator wear and use.
Knowledge of current Army Equipment.
