Duties: Analyze, design and develop customer facing web applications and participate in the development and architecture of cloud native applications that adhere to micro services and twelve-factor application principles. Understand application architecture and apply Domain Driven Design techniques and library of cloud native patterns to implement micro services-based architecture. Deliver robust, fault tolerant, and production ready code. Participate in daily product decision making and real product delivery with product managers and developers.
Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.
Employer requires at least six (6) of the following skills gained through industry experience or academic coursework :
Java or Spring framework;
Kafka, Netflix OSS, Rabbit MQ or Redis;
Single-page web application architecture;API integration;
SOAP and REST Web services;
Oracle, MySOL, NoSQL or MongoDB;
Continuous Integration and Automated Deployment Strategies;
Kubernetes.
*Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the VMware office in Palo Alto, CA. Multiple Openings.
