POSITION SUMMARY The Medical Nutrition Therapy Dietitian of the Bariatric Department assesses plans and implements the nutrition education program as related to Bariatric.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Education: A BS or BA in Nutrition or Dietetics License: Must be Licensed and Registered Dietician in the State of Ohio, Ohio licensure (LD) through the Ohio Medical Board and Registration (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of metabolic/bariatric treatment, teaching techniques and adult learning, depending on location of work 2. Good interpersonal relationships with patients and families. 3. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer. 4. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. 5. Must be able to operate Bariatric equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: Must be able to move about the department and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
