The Challenge:
Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit. You will be responsible for the security and integrity of systems that keep our jets flying.
It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.
Special Requirements:
This Position will support the F35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) Program. The successful candidate will serve as an ALIS Multifunctional Administrator responsible for all facets of the F-35 ALIS IT system.
This position is located at the Fleet Readiness Center - East (FRCE) on MCAS Cherry Point.
The incumbent must be a good communicator with strong leadership skills, a self-starter, have the ability to make timely decisions, and be willing to learn all facets of the ALIS System.
As an ALIS administrator, the successful candidate must:
- Be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
- Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs.
- Be capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out and sustain system-wide backups, disaster recovery, and database support (status checks, Oracle critical patch updates)
- Conduct data transfers between system (internal and external), provide user access to data, keep servers operational, configure assets to support user needs, and troubleshoot assets.
- Support testing, debugging, integration and analysis of database tools
- System Auditing and analysis of logs to ensure the system remains secure
- Monitor overall test progress, corrective actions, hardware/software baseline status, patch testing, and the health and status of the system
- Interacting daily with users and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALIS product suite
- Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with other administrative disciplines

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Secret security clearance or higher with investigation within the last 6
years
- Must hold a current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
- IT experience of any combination in system/database/network/mission planning- administration
- Rotating shifts, and work over
40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.
Desired Skills:
- Experience Troubleshooting Applications
- Account Maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM
- Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases and
network equipment
- A working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics
- Korean language skills and/or a knowledge of Korean culture
- Prior experience working as an expat
- Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware)
- Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
- Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
- Importing/Exporting large data volumes
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and
software
- Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military
- A US DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Military Flight Operations & Planning Processes
- Personal Computer Debrief Software (PCDS) experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
