Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks.

The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

The Work

Candidates will focus on Circuit Design supporting the development of GWS Hardware Engineering who is able to engage in complex design development and mentor junior engineers as needed. Design efforts and work will be performed within an Agile environment. Your core tasks will entail the development of electrical component design solutions. Under the direction of your product line owners, responsibilities include developing and evaluating electrical circuit design efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field and minimum 2 years of professional work experience

- Active/Current U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance

- Prior experience with the design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components,

electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), or subsystems

- Experience with circuit design, signal monitoring, circuit power, and fault isolation

- Experience using analytical software tools, such as MATLAB or Python, to analyze and reduce data to identify key characteristics and trends

- Familiarity with DOORS and/or CAMEO

- Experience in one or more of the following system engineering knowledge areas: technical planning, requirements derivation, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, cost and risk analysis, interface definition, system design, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems

- Experience generating or implementing electrical schematics/printed circuit board design and layout using ECAD tools

- Experience with requirements-driven hardware design and circuitry design

- Experience with classified test systems or systems subject to cyber security policies and risk management framework (RMF) engineering technical standards

- Experience with analog and digital circuit design

- Experience with a PLM system

- Experience in Agile Development

- Experience evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for compliance

- Ability to travel at least 10%

Desired Skills:

Experience with the following:

- Formal Release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures

- Burndown of nonconformances and/or root cause failure analysis of electronic systems

- Problem solving not only for technical issues, but also for schedule, cost, resource and other project

challenges

- Mentoring and cross-training team members on a diverse set of technologies and electrical system

architectures used to meet customer requirements

- LabVIEW programming and experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software products

- LabVIEW FPGA development experience

- Experience with telemetry systems

- Experience with mission critical and safety critical systems, components, connectors, cables, etc.

- Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Core Standards: MDA-QS-001-MAP, MDA-QS-003-

PMAP, MDA Instruction 5000.20-INS (ETR Process)

- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1901A, MIL-STD-882, EWR-127, RCC 319, RCC 324, DoDEA 8510.01, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab, ECSS-ST-50-11C

- Familiarity with the GMD domain and GMD Launch Support Systems hardware

- Experience in Siemens Xpedition

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
