Cracker Barrel is on the search for a Project Manager to join the Construction team at our Home Office in Lebanon, TN. In this role, you would oversee the development of construction sites by directing the general contract job superintendents, coordinating architectural and civil plans, obtaining building permits, engaging in site visits, and coordinating the turnover of the project to Operations.
. Collaborates with operations, architectural & civil engineering, design and contractors. Develops comprehensive scope of work document. Defines/develops specifications needed for project completion (includes defining technical measurements and needs, materials used, etc.). Defines, develops, and proposes budget and workforce needs required based on scope of project. Finalizes budget estimate based on approved scope of construction project. Identifies and obtains permits from agencies necessary to execute project. Manages contractors (relationship, bidding, and selection). Identifies list of appropriate/qualified vendors/contractors. Send out project plans and requests for proposals to multiple vendors/contractors. Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties. Evaluates vendors/contractors on effectiveness. Negotiates financial details and selects contractors to execute work needed on projects. Plans and delegates project roles and work resources between store management, district managers, and contractor. Informs management teams at store and recommends best practices to reduce disruption at store, maintain operational effectiveness, and ensure guest satisfaction. Develops and defines project timeline from start to completion.
. Conducts site visits to monitor progress and to ensure Cracker Barrel quality standards are met
Monitors construction budgets and approves expenses. Meets project timelines and budgets. Ensures
all close-out documentation is generated, communicated and completed in a timely manner. Works as
liaison between on-site operations team and contractors/vendors.
. Works with the construction and strategic facility projects teams as a resource for the
remodel/retrofit process.
. Develops new scopes of work for new programs. Develops new specifications for identified
challenges. Determines strategic requirements for multi-year, long term plans. Develops and manages
multi-year budgets, scope of work, and vendors for multiple programs.
. Assess strategic requirements and develops new programs and presents them executive levels for
consideration. Creates new scopes of work and specifications for complex, multi-disciplinary, technical
programs. Develops Strategic plans for multiple programs. Creates and implements quality assurance
programs.
. Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management and 8-10 years experience as a project or construction manager; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience project management experience in facilities, construction, or remodeling.
. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
