BHE GT&S has an opportunity for a Senior Market Development Rep within our Natural Gas Liquids Department.
This position can be filled at our Richmond, VA, Bridgeport, WV or Columbia, SC locations.
This is a full-time office position and is not offered as a remote or work-from-home position although flexible work hours are permitted.
This role interacts directly with customers, plant operations, third party transporters and internal groups
Prepares transportation arrangements related to the sale of natural gas liquid products (propane, butane, natural gasoline) by pipeline, railcar, barge and truck.
Prepares financial summaries, develops and maintains databases and forecasts related to production, inventory, sales, industry pricing and revenue.
Supports marketing of natural gas liquid products through negotiation of term and spot sales transactions
Actively engages with customers and researches and develops new business relationships for potential market share expansion
Prepares reports and presentation materials for senior management
Performs statistical analysis (e.g., market trends, sales, service and throughput comparisons, etc.)
Negotiate terms of service with principle parties. Maintain awareness of customer activities and needs..
Analyze competitors strategic intent, capabilities, competencies and business or financial drivers in order to provide conclusions and implications as a key input into the overall BHE GT&S strategy development process.
Research, compile, filter, manipulate and distribute relevant energy industry information using industry-related publications, databases, outside consultants, and other resources.
Performs statistical analyses (e.g., market trends, sales, service and throughput comparisons, etc.).
May lead certain project sub-teams with responsibility and accountability by coordinating internal and external resources, as needed, to manage and deliver results.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum qualifications: ( Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualification):
Minimum of five years of natural gas liquids or gas marketing experience with understanding of market drivers.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of natural gas liquids industry (preferred), natural gas marketing or natural gas midstream business
Knowledge of business information research, analytical methods, and statistics
Highly proficient with personal computer applications, especially databases and spreadsheets-Demonstrated leadership, teaming, initiative, customer service, technical knowledge, judgment and innovation
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, resources, and time
Ability to manage large quantities of data (define problems, collect data and draw conclusions)Ability to speak persuasively and develop rapport
Ability to write and develop presentations
Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting assignments
Effective investigative and analytical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with strong emphasis on Excel
Great customer service background
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing
