Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a self-driven and motivated Systems Administrator to lead hands-on system scanning and system update efforts for critical customer systems. You will work with the customer and the Information Systems Security Engineer for the organization to execute system scanning requirements laid out in customer policy and mandates. This role is essential to ensuring mission systems remain viable, and you will be very hands-on with standalone systems.
Qualifications
Must already have a TS/SCI with Poly
Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree, or experience can be substituted for the degree
Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Experience maintaining and patching systems
Experience or knowledge of protecting data at rest and in transit
Experience performing continuous monitoring of infrastructure to support accreditation requirements
Experience conducting vulnerability scans and assessments, using Rapid7 tools
Ability to interpret system scans, recommend improvements to customer PM's and contractors, and help update the systems as required
Ability to manage POAMs, tracking them to resolution by working with customer PM's and contractors and communicating with the ISSE or ISSM
Experience coordinating with appropriate organizations in the event of incidents to capture details, properly communicate them, assess risk and complete any mitigation actions
Experience with access control and configuration management for systems
Ability to work with customer PMs and contractors to perform and upload vulnerability scans of all mission information systems in accordance with customer policies and regulations
Ability to meet the requirement to gain access to infrastructure/systems to perform the duties listed above (i.e. system administrator accesses)
