Job Summary
The Textiles Key Account Manager (C&I) grows profitable revenue, provides industry-leading level of customer service, and builds effective long-term relationships with some of Georgia Power's largest, most profitable, and visible key accounts and allies in this segment.
Typically manages a customer portfolio in excess of $40 million in annual revenue to Georgia Power. Solves customer problems, increases customer value and loyalty as demonstrated through the Net Promoter Score. Cultivates and maintains productive, long-term relationships with decision makers throughout all levels of the customer's organization. Effectively manages complex financial and method of service issues to the satisfaction of the customer and the company. Focuses on business development - providing quality leads for sales of traditional electrification technologies and non-traditional products and services in order grow the market, revenues, and profitability. Provides proactive account management to Georgia Power's most complex and politically engaged customers. Serves in leadership roles on statewide initiatives to increase sales, customer value, and sales force effectiveness.
Job Experience/Education
Four-year degree preferred; engineering or other technical degree desired.
Three to five years of experience in a similar industrial segment/ environment, industrial account management, sales/marketing, utility region operations or power generation preferred
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or other relevant technical/energy industry certification a plus.
Experience working face to face with customers is strongly desired.

Relationship Building - able to build (from scratch), develop, and leverage relationships at all levels - from maintenance person to CEO, both internally and externally.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer Focus and Problem Solving -able to effectively engage the customer, able to understand internal processes and resolution channels, and effectively manage through difficult situations and resolve conflicts with customers and internal partners (listens well and willing to challenge the status quo). Able to partner with internal department to solve customer problems.
Business Development/ Selling - able to grow business through recognizing opportunities for our company to grow business and provide customer value - from an electric vehicle charger to a multi-million dollar energy services project, with an emphasis on long sales cycles and consultative sales in team selling environment. Able to partner with other team members to develop sales proposals, make sales presentations, negotiate, and close complex sales.
Analytical - able to understand, calculate, and communicate complex rate options like RTP, TOU-RN, and DPEC. Understands regulations, policies, procedures, and the Georgia Territorial Electric Service Act.
Technical - able to understand (a) electro-technologies and products and services we sell (b) customer's operations, processes, and business (c) our business (system operation) - from generation to power delivery to power quality
Communication - the ability to proactively recognize and communicate with all internal partners as needed as it relates to customer operations and issues. Ability to concisely communicate complex issues.
JOb Responsibilities
Provide primary customer interface for communication, products, services, and solutions. Champion customer needs and requirements within Georgia Power and with key stakeholders.
Maximize sales of all Southern Company products and services to assigned key account customers to grow the market, revenues, and profitability (both in inside and outside of the service territory).
Achieve Top Quartile Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey results. Leverage this high level of customer loyalty to increase growth and influence with key account customers.
Become the customer's Energy Expert and segment subject matter expert. Build and maintain working relationships with key industry players.
Develop and execute on-going sales plan and strategies for assigned customers; demonstrate sales influence; create an effective sales pipeline and history of customer engagement in Oracle Sales Cloud.
Proactively work and communicate with all key cross-functional partners such as: Distribution, Transmission, Pricing & Rates, Market Planning, Economic Development, Region Leadership, Customer Choice, etc.
Engage in targeted external involvement that promotes sales growth - where key customer contacts are also involved.
Meaningfully engage with customer and partners face to face and virtually (as needed)

Must be available to work CENS and assigned storm duty, which could include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel.
Must be available to travel statewide regularly, and nationwide occasionally as needed.
