The primary purpose of this position is to formulate, prepare, and monitor execution of the Agency's budget, accounting all revenue and expenditures incurred by Commissary Operations; monitoring manpower usage provided for its annual budget and is the records holder for Inter-Agency Agreements. . Position responsibilities include: Performs a number of administrative functions independently in the collection of data, preparation, and review of the Store Operations Group financial statements, within accepted budgetary and financial practices. Coordinates requirements, makes funding recommendations, and approves expenditures. Monitor, review and check request for funds from approved operating budgets to assure that are being spent for proper purposes in accordance with budget schedules. Coordinates and provides cost data support category for budget requirements and submissions. To qualify for this position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-07 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. At the GS-09 applicants can also qualify on the basis of possessing a Master's of equivalent degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying specialized experience: Assessing the effectiveness of accounting and fiscal software, identifying problems, and initiating corrective actions. Processing access requests for various systems and provide data analysis from various computer systems for reporting, trend analysis and managerial decision review. Coordinates requirements, makes funding recommendations, and approves expenditures. Prepares written and procedural and oral guidance concerning the format for financial data and information.
