Senior RF Engineer (R2021306)
This position requires a competent RF engineering specialist, consultant, and/or advisor leading the research, design, development, testing and integration of RF systems/architectures involving analogue and digital circuits/products, amplifiers, filters, transceivers, down converters, and antenna systems.
Responsibilities:
Managing RF engineering projects from concept to delivery of hardware solution to assure technical adequacy to meet customer operational requirements and conformance with DoD standards and practices. Acting as the primary interface to customer providing updates, cost estimates, bill of materials (BOM), project schedules and recommendations on engineering solutions. May provide briefings and technical training on RF systems/products to internal and external teams.
Performing research, design, development, testing and integration of RF hardware systems or products as followed through the customer requirement analysis. Working independently and in collaboration with the technical personnel in the design of electronic circuits to include circuit board level design and layout. Requires integration, testing and compilation of engineering data, and final delivery of the product along with the operational document for the field engineers. Comprehensive analysis reporting and systems level design documentation is a MUST. May manage technical performance of assigned support personnel.
Requirements:
At least 5 years' experience as an RF expert in Land Mobile Radio Systems, SATCOM, Wi-Fi, LTE and RF systems
Advanced RF hardware components packaging, systems design, testing and integration
Good troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication/presentation and briefing skills
Strong customer interface and collaboration skills
Hardware research and acquisition experience
Education:
BS degree in EE, preferably MS in EE. In lieu of formal degree, 10 years of industrial RF engineering or applied science work experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph highly desired. In lieu of active clearance must be able to obtain and maintain clearance.
