Job Summary

The Business Support Analyst is accountable for ensuring execution of the Construction Operations Cross Bore Prevention, Inspection, and Remediation program. Incumbent responsible for managing the program for Construction Operations within Nicor Gas. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, and able to make sound decisions.
Functional Expertise:
Manage multiple projects and contractors performing sewer camera verification work.
Track and report on project status and Impingements identified.
Ensure cross functional communication and support between Construction Operations, Contractors, Construction Services, DIMP, Asset Protection, etc.
Review and approve Contractor invoices.
Oversee standards and processes are being met internally and with contractors.
Business Acumen:
Ensure projects are managed to budget, schedule, and standards.
Develop, maintain, and report on project budgets.
Work with Cross Bore Program Manager to ensure proper interpretation, application, and implementation of new federal, state, and local codes and guidelines.
Provide direction to contractors and team members based on program requirements and changes in the program.
Engagement:
Provide proper oversight for project activities.
Attend team meetings on a regular basis.
Provide program metrics to Cross Bore Program Manager for reporting to business unit owners and upper management.
Support development of new processes and standards as new field initiatives are introduced.
Driving Results:
Ensure project team tasks and responsibilities are met. Full engagement with deliverables.
Manage Cross Bore program contractors and sewer camera vendors
Review incident investigations and work with Cross Bore Program Manager to develop program enhancements based on findings.
Review lessons learned and trend analysis.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Required:

- Project Management Professional
Related Work Experience:
Required:
5 years developing and implementing process improvements
2 years construction or operations experience in gas distribution or related field
Preferred:
Experience working with city and county infrastructure and the operation of these systems
Knowledge and experience with cross bore impingement discovery, remediation, and program administration
Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
